A Few Dollars More - Value
"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey." Attributed to English critic, essayist, and reformer John Ruskin (8 February 1819 - 20 January 1900), the topic of price has been discussed since the first purchase in history. In every economic climate, whether buying a product or service, price is a major factor in the decision and in a slumping or down economy, it usually is the only feature considered.

A Minute A Day…
It’s that time of year again - time to set our goals. For some reason we all think that January is the time to start fresh, to once and for all be the things we want to be and achieve all the things we want to have. We make our New Year’s resolutions, we promise to do things better, to turn over a new leaf. The January issue of Entrepreneur Magazine is out on the news stands and for those who have never read the magazine, January issue is dedicated to the Franchise industry. In this issue, there is an article (see link on my web site under News and Articles) that talks about the Magazine's predictions for Franchise Industries that hold the most promise for growth and stability in 2009. Interestingly enough, I wrote a blog about the very same topic in October of 08 (See blog titled: "Businesses that are still making money in this economy"). Almost every industry that is mention in my blog is mentioned in the Magazine's article. Now I am not saying that I am the smartest man alive, but it is comforting to know that the experts agree with my views and that I am on the right track. There have also been plenty of talk about how Franchise ow

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS IN SEPTEMBER
Forget about New Years Resolutions in January, they don’t work! You’re wasting your time! September is the best time to set New Year’s Resolutions. Crazy idea, perhaps you disagree? Then answer this question; “why is it that most people who make them and seem quite serious about it, never really follow through and keep them?” A very good question don’t you think. I have addressed this issue before but on both occasions it was in January. Maybe now is a better time to take a different tact and initiate some thought, discussion and/or action around the idea.
