Where You Start Is Not Important
I was born in L.A. (that's Lower Alabama). Fortunately, I was raised in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I say "fortunately" because Yazoo City, Mississippi, is the geographical center of the world. Many people don't realize it, but you can start in Yazoo City and go anywhere in the world you want to go. The neat thing is, the maximum distance to any place you wish to go is only 12,000 miles.

Leaving the Sheep Behind: Marriott Hits It Big
In 1937, Marriott’s Hot Shoppe No. 8 became the home of his next innovation. Since it was located near an airport, Marriott noticed that airline passengers would often stop off to his store and buy lunch to eat on board. With that came Marriott’s idea to sell pre-boxed meals directly to airlines. It was the launch of an entire new industry, and Marriott was soon selling lunches to more than 20 flights a day from that one airport.

Practicing Assertiveness
Very early Sunday morning I was waiting in line at Montreal’s airport. Despite the early hour, the airport was crowded and the lines at each of the security points were the longest I had ever seen them. People were patiently waiting; however there was an older gentleman who became quite distressed as he realized he would miss his flight due to the slow movement of the line. He attracted the attention of one of the officials, however they merely shrugged unhelpfully. Then two European men in their mid 30’s went to the aid of the older man, they asked all the people in the queue ahead of him would they mind if he jumped ahead of them to catch his flight. Of course no one minded and the man went quickly through security.
Canada’s Very Own Ontario, Sault Ste Marie
A city might be made up of heritage monuments, great structures, good management and geographical locations. But what makes the city of Ontario Sault Ste Marie special is the vibrancy and life of its people. It is the people that make up the wonderful background of any place. Highs and Lows of Living
Carrie Bradshaw and Sex in the City in New York, does not have quite the same ring as Linda Sage and Sex in the City of Quesada....but there again who knows! That probably sounds as exciting to somebody in rain drenched down town Glasgow or Margate (not that I have anything personal against these two places or people from there) but all things are relative!
Chicken or Beef?
As a former national champion Olympic weightlifter, one of my prized possessions is my gold medal. It is a very special momento to me, which I display in my office. Recently, I was traveling on an airplane, and I met a unique gentleman seated next to me. If they ever add an Olympic event called the Marathon Bad Attitude, this gentleman will have a gold medal, too. Shortly after introducing myself, he told me he didn't like the airline we were flying on, the seats, the aisles, or our flight attendant. He went on to inform me he didn't like the city we were in, the airport we were connecting through, or our final destination. I don't think he liked me either, but we didn't get that far into the conversation.

Sex in the City or Sex in Quesada City?

Airport Parking, Tiered Storage and Latency
Ok, so what do airport parking, tiered storage and latency have in common? Based on some recent travel experience I will assert that there is quite a bit in common, or at a minimum an analogy. What got me thinking about this was recently I could not get a parking spot at the airport primary parking ramp adjacent to the terminal (either a reasonable walk or short tram ride) which offers quick access to the departure gate.
