Cox & Kings eyes overseas acquisitions to strengthen franchise operations in India
2nd February 2010: Travel operator Cox & Kings India is scouting for acquisitions in countries like the US, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand, a senior company official said today. The travel operator, which raised Rs 610 crore through a public issue in December last year, has earmarked Rs 150 crore for funding such acquisitions. "We have a fund of Rs 150 crore earmarked for this (acquisitions). We are very comfortable with countries where the laws are familiar like the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand...It becomes very attractive for us particularly since these countries are just coming out of recession," Cox & Kings Executive Director Peter Kerkar told PTI here.

Recently Times Franchise Expo, organised its 35th Franchise Exhibition in Mumbai. The exhibition was held for two days 4th and 5th September 2010. The exhibitors were mostly from the education sector. Most of the education companies were operating in the preschool space.

“I remember Ev going home one weekend and coming back with this genius plan for Odeo, and he asked me to read it,” recalls Stone. “It was this whole plan for how we could make it a successful business. I thought wow this is genius, but then again so is podcasting. Then slept on it. Do we want to be kings of podcasting? We were constantly gut checking.”

Dress yourself like you are going out among kings and queens. Always feel good about the way you look, no matter where you are. I know. I know. Comfort is important. I agree. You can be comfortable and beautiful. Comfortable doesn't need to mean sloppy!

Like never before we must stand against the tyranny of either/or and be the difference we want to see in the world. Be a real leader, please. We need to move on from the frauds who claim to lead us and build the bridges to our new world.
