POWER Points to Ask BEFORE You Write a Single Word of Copy
Do you really know where to start when you're writing promotional copy? When you’re ready to tackle your next copywriting project these POWER Points will help you get focused. Writing is a process and believe it or not there is a method to the madness. Whether you plan to write your own copy or outsource these POWER Points will kick start the process. There are nine key questions I ask before considering any copywriting project. And this is just the beginning of the process. Once a client has invested in my services we go through a deep process of evaluating copy needs with a customized questionnaire. Some clients are even resistant to the process because it really makes you think about your business and direction.

How to develop a career action plan
The focus of this article is on the development of your career action plan. However, the process can also be easily adapted to other areas of your life. The first and most important step is to make a decision. The decision is whether or not you need a career action plan. Many may not require any action in their career at this stage of their life. For some there are more important areas in their life to which they want to devote their time. The challenge is to make a conscious decision and either accept the current job or put into place actions to achieve your goal job.

Small Business Tips: Turning Words Into Deeds
Deed is just another name for action. First you need to ensure you have thought and imagined the foundations of your business – getting clear on your products, services and customers. Next you need to have "inked" these thoughts into plans, brochures, web sites and copy. Finally you need to take action. Action is where you put your energy behind your thoughts. There are many sayings around the importance of action "You miss 100% of all shots you fail to take", "You've got to be in it to win it" and "The journey of 1000 miles begins with just one step" are a few of my favourites.

A Call to Action for the Sales Force
Al Gore has become more famous for his call to action against global warming than he ever was as Vice President of the United States. Pope John Paul II was noted for his "stand up for life" call to action. The charities that you support have calls to action that either inspire you or embarass you into giving. Yesterday, Barack Obama included a call to action in his inaugural speech.

Master Your Game: Establishing Your Tactical Game
After establishing your target, it is imperative that you establish a strategy. Here are four factors that have assisted me in executing my strategy: • Taking action • Being focused when in action • Learning from the action and adjusting for the next one • Being persistent.

Thriving in the Gap
Making the best of where you are with what you have can be a challenge these days with the pressure of meeting setting and meeting sales goals, retaining talent and clients. How can we thrive in the gap between delusional optimism and paralyzing panic? The key is to stay where the action is and that is in the middle between these two extremes. You can't do it alone so put people around you that don't think like you do. People who can challenge and optimize your thinking. Make the most of what opposing ways of seeing it give to you and you will find that your networking is more robust, developing your employees is more effective, solutions drive more sustainable results. In short you will make better decisions that serve in the short, mid and long term.

Action Plan Example
Action plans are fairly common in business, but probably done wrong as often as not. A lot of people do not understand what an action plan is and often mistake it for a COE or Correction Of Errors, not one of my favorite types of documents. Having a good action plan starts with an understanding of what an action plan is and a great action plan example would be a huge help in this. An action plan is a forward looking document and should be addressed as one. When looking at an action plan example one should take this into account. Action plans prevent business gaffs, keep everyone on task and help smooth out operations. In a way they could be considered a mini business plan, though I tend to look at them as a working business plan.

Consistent Positive Action Creates Huge Momentum
As I laced up my shoes this morning to head out and tackle my first action focused goal, I spent some time reviewing the past seven days. It's hard to believe it's already been a week since I set and began to achieve these daily action goals. I can honestly tell you it is 99% easier to tackle these goals today than it was in the first couple of days. If you recall, I was having a bit of a challenge with the "voices" trying to encourage me to make excuses as to why I didn't have to accomplish those goals. Well, I am happy to report to you that those voices have all but left. The consistency of achieving my daily action goals, has made it much easier, and created momentum that's sending me off on a very positive path.

Mastering the Earning Game
When faced with a challenge, some people freeze. They stop taking action. They drift or coast, hoping that the problem will disappear. They blame, complain, whine, or moan about their circumstances.

A comprehensive study of Chief Marketing Officers finds their greatest challenge - generating high quality sales leads. “THE VAST MAJORITY OF CMO’S IN THE STUDY INDICATED THAT GENERATING HIGH QUALITY LEADS IS THEIR TOP CHALLENGE. It Takes More Than Marketing to Attract Big Bucks
Marketing is an action. Action doesn’t create a result. It’s all about what is driving the action. You need to be fully into it before, during and after the action for it to create the impact that you want.
