Small Business Tips: Turning Words Into Deeds
Deed is just another name for action. First you need to ensure you have thought and imagined the foundations of your business – getting clear on your products, services and customers. Next you need to have "inked" these thoughts into plans, brochures, web sites and copy. Finally you need to take action. Action is where you put your energy behind your thoughts. There are many sayings around the importance of action "You miss 100% of all shots you fail to take", "You've got to be in it to win it" and "The journey of 1000 miles begins with just one step" are a few of my favourites.

A Call to Action for the Sales Force
Al Gore has become more famous for his call to action against global warming than he ever was as Vice President of the United States. Pope John Paul II was noted for his "stand up for life" call to action. The charities that you support have calls to action that either inspire you or embarass you into giving. Yesterday, Barack Obama included a call to action in his inaugural speech.

Master Your Game: Establishing Your Tactical Game
After establishing your target, it is imperative that you establish a strategy. Here are four factors that have assisted me in executing my strategy: • Taking action • Being focused when in action • Learning from the action and adjusting for the next one • Being persistent.

Put the Competition in the Rear View Mirror
Competitive assessment is one of the most powerful tools we have in our quiver. Yet IMHO so few companies actually assess the competition in a way that works. We spend time evaluating our competitor's technology foundations, comparing feature against feature. We look for every detail that we can use to prove that our technology is far superior to that of others. Too bad that having the best technology doesn't mean you win....or that having the most features doesn't guarantee customer success. If the best technology won, then today's industry giants wouldn't be so, um, giant, now would they? Don't get me wrong. Understanding your competitor's technology and its capabilities is a worthwhile exercise. As long as you don't fall into the trap of defining your solutions based on their features - and become a follower.

Action Plan Example
Action plans are fairly common in business, but probably done wrong as often as not. A lot of people do not understand what an action plan is and often mistake it for a COE or Correction Of Errors, not one of my favorite types of documents. Having a good action plan starts with an understanding of what an action plan is and a great action plan example would be a huge help in this. An action plan is a forward looking document and should be addressed as one. When looking at an action plan example one should take this into account. Action plans prevent business gaffs, keep everyone on task and help smooth out operations. In a way they could be considered a mini business plan, though I tend to look at them as a working business plan.

If You Can’t Solve the Problem, Manage It
Managing a contact sport and therefore requires a good deal of action. If your issue not resolvable in the short term, although important, you still know it to specific tasks so you can build momentum for future resolution needs. Once you've determined what you can do based on the steps listed above, it is time to execute. Some form of action to take today, tomorrow, next week, next month and decide. Action regardless of the effect of constant size and take action and you soon into a very manageable situation unresolvable problem that must change.

Small Business Jobs & Credit Act: What’s in it for Small Business?
On September 27th, President Obama signed into law, the much awaited Small Business Jobs & Credit Act. I’ve been surprised by how little most small business owners seem to know about the provisions of this law and what is in it for them. The most highly publicized feature of the bill is the $30 Billion dollar small business loan fund. For many or most small businesses, this may be the least relevant feature of the law. Other features of the law include tax breaks for small to medium sized businesses, tax incentives for equity investors in small businesses and some significant changes in SBA lending programs.

How Does A Call Center Utilize Call Forwarding
If you are using a telephone answering service, having a call forwarding feature activated on your phone lines is essential. The call forwarding feature allows you to automatically route calls going to your office to the call center who is knowlegable about your account and how to manage your calls.

How to Use Kindle Text to Speech Feature on Your PC
Kindle's Text to Speech feature is a great option for Kindle users. However, there are some limitations on this feature. As a perfect and better replacement on PC, Text to Speech software can help you to avoid those limitations, plus more voices, more controls and more features.

It Takes More Than Marketing to Attract Big Bucks
Marketing is an action. Action doesn’t create a result. It’s all about what is driving the action. You need to be fully into it before, during and after the action for it to create the impact that you want.
