Book Marketing Books Every Author Must Read
As a book marketing guy and book publicist it’s imperative for me to keep up with all of the great books and magazine articles being published on the topic of book marketing. I’ve read dozens and dozens of books on book marketing and usually have found a morsel or two of useful information in each one. Here’s a list of my favorites. By the way, I’ve personally met or have spoken to each author and can attest to the veracity of the material they present and their credentials to discuss these topics.

It’s All About PR
You learn that, in the book world, PR is everything. When you walk into a bookstore, you are walking into a treasure house of 140,000 books. Online at amazon.com, there are 2.5 million books. Somewhere in your mind, dimly, you knew that, but nothing drives it home so much as walking into a bookstore and seeing rack upon rack of beautiful books and then you go find your section and see all the racks of beautiful self-help books and then...

Books, Licensing and Franchising
Recently, while visiting a book store, I came across the Self Help Section, there were books with almost every possible book, How to win friends and influence people, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul, Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur, Guide to Investing, Unleash the Power Within and even one on how to author a book, Guerilla Marketing for Freshers and many many more similar titles. Since, there was an entire section dedicated for Self Help Books, It does seem that this is one of the popular categories. Several of these books are New York Times Bestsellers and so on.

Inner Healing with Fibromyalgia
The Author experienced fibromyalgia for 12 years and changes her mind-set for healing. It was an inner healing first by forgiving and loving herself and doing the same for others. Then attacking the problem one on one for inner healing. She writes about this in her books, "In Due Season," and "Poise for the Runway of Your Life." The author was able to step into her dreams and destiny without any symptoms of this disease and began to write books and model at age 51! Her story is on her website.

You Read it, You Like it, What Are You Doing About It?

Most of them are business books; the "flavor of the week" phenomenon is alive and well. I seldom read them, to be honest.
