When the Going Gets Tough ....
| |
| As they say in the classics, the tough get going. More and more frequently over the past several months I have been working with people who have been retrenched. I don’t know of an industry which hasn’t been affected by recent and ongoing economic events. There’s a lot of anger, frustration and blame out there. People who were in what they thought were secure careers with a bright future are suddenly without security and the future seems bleak. Retrenchment packages offered by many employers are only enough to keep people afloat for a few months or, in many cases, a few weeks. A Social Media journey begins…
| |
| Today was my first day back at work after a long over due vacation and as usual it didn’t disappoint. My inbox had over 450 emails that required responses and I was booked for three back-to-back meetings. But the one thing that fired my up today was determining the future roadmap for our corporate Intranet. During one of my three meetings I met with the Infrastructure team and determined how we are going to implement our very own instance of Facebook onto our Intranet. |

Casting a Vision: Begin with the End in Mind
| |
| When you look at your hopes and dreams for the future – where you want to be at some defined point in time – what do you see? Is the road pretty clear before you or is the fog too thick? Of course, no one has the power to fully predict their future, but those who cast a vision and do whatever it takes to achieve it have a better chance of predictable success and satisfaction as they look back from the vantage point of old age. |

From a marketing perspective, I have been focusing on this for a number of my clients. All of these efforts have not only delivered immediate sales results, but has helped to position each of the businesses as strong market players for the future as the economy starts to bounce back and boom once again. |

Schools Don't Educate And They Certainly Don't Teach Success
| |
| I was a teacher for more than ten years. I loved teaching and learning and for that reason I went back to school way too many time to mention. With all this "education" and teaching, I eventually realized that there was a disconnect between education and future success after graduation. The education establishment is responsible for the fact that schools fail to teach financial education, that schools actually harm students when they reward actions that are detrimental to future success and punish actions and habits that are vital to success.

Personal Resources: Your Own Unique
| |
| If you were left with nothing but the shirt on your back, you'd also have these three personal resources to work with to bring yourself back to health, wealth, and an inspiring life and future. Others may, intentionally or unintentionally, conspire to rob you of these; but no one can really take them from you unless you let them. They're your bedrock assets, your core, your fundamental fallback position. How you use them, separately and in synergy to create other resources, will determine your success and overall well-being.

| |
| Why is it important to teach personal mastery to your children?
Our children nowadays are the next generation. They would be facing a future that could hold immense possibilities and opportunities. Population Perspectives
| |
| If we want to be successful and relevant in the future, we've got to understand the way the world really is and, more importantly, the way it will be in the future. Unless you force yourself to step back and take a global look at everything around you, you will make the mistake of assuming everyone in the world looks, acts, and thinks like you.
