Sagar Ratna to expand overseas via franchising
New Delhi-based Sagar Ratna Hospitalities, owners of Swagath and Sagar Ratna chain of restaurants, will venture into overseas markets in the coming years. The company has already identified franchisees in places like Bangkok, in the UAE and Canada. Thai store chain CP All Q4 net profit more than doubles
18th February 2010: CP ALL Bangkok, Thailand's largest convenience store chain, reported on Thursday that its fourth-quarter earnings more than doubled, beating analysts' forecast, thanks to a rise in sales and better gross margins. CP All, a proxy for domestic consumption in Thailand, posted an October-December net profit of 1.09 billion baht ($32.86 million), up from 509 million baht a year earlier, but lower than the 1.42 billion in the previous quarter.

Yontrakit JV serves niche market for Mitsuoka cars Franchise
The little-known Japanese auto company Mitsuoka Motors, a specialist in painstakingly handmade cars, and the Thai auto franchisee, Yontrakit Corporation have announced plans for a joint venture. The new entity will produce the Mitsuoka niche car brand in Thailand. The two companies will sign a franchisee agreement next Wednesday at a Bangkok hotel, said a statement from Yontrakit. Yontrakit apart from Mitsuoka, is also runs car dealerships for Audi and KIA.
