Dress Up Jennifer Lopez
In 2003, General Growth Properties – one of the largest owners of shopping centres in the U.S. – conducted a nationwide survey of 2,000 teenage shoppers to find out who they considered the best dressed celebrities. Topping the list for female celebrities was none other than Latin actor and pop sensation Jennifer Lopez. While she was followed closely by Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne, it appears that more young girls wish they could dress up Jennifer Lopez style more than anyone else. But, what is it about this celebrity’s fashion sense that makes her the envy of women everywhere? What goes through her head when she is picking out an outfit for herself?

Hugh Hefner Roast
In 2001, just weeks after the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, the New York Friars Club went ahead with its scheduled Hugh Hefner Roast. The Friars Club is a club located in New York City, which has become famous for its risqué roasts of celebrities. It was founded in 1904, and has since roasted such notable celebrities as Milton Berle, Sammy Davis, Jr., George Burns, Johnny Carson, Nat ‘King’ Cole, Harry Belafonte, Jerry Lewis, Chevy Chase, Richard Pryor, Pamela Anderson, and Donald Trump. In recent years, their roasts have been televised on Comedy Central, and members of the public have even been invited to attend the live tapings.

How to Increase Your Productivity and Profit From Your Image
I attended a business women's event last week and was amazed at how many of the attendees presented themselves. This was a business event and the way in which many of them dressed you would have thought they were going to a local football game! I met a 'coach' who raved about how successful she was and what she does for her clients. This person was at least 10kgs overweight, her chest was exposed and her clothes were very inappropriate for a business environment. If you were looking for a coach, would you consider investing in her services? She obviously had her own issues to deal with. What she said didn't match how she looked. In contrast there was the mortgage broker who was dressed extremely well in a tailored suit, who obviously took pride in her appearance and looked confident and competent.

On this day, Linda dressed the part of a Gen Y and Robin dressed the part of a Radio Baby Imposter. In the article they share their feelings and impressions as they deliver a training in the shoes of another generation.

Passion is the Key
One of the benefits of being president of the Narrative Television Network is that I have the privilege of interviewing many celebrities. These celebrities represent those who are at the very top of their field in sports, politics, television, and movies. These people can teach us many lessons. My very first interview was with legendary film actress, Katharine Hepburn. After I got over the initial intimidation of talking with her, I began to understand more about her and why she was so successful.

PR for Fashion Designers
Public relations is an important marketing component for nearly any company or product, but when it comes to fashion, beauty or style, an effective PR campaign is not an option, it’s a necessity. The approach I suggest focusing on is to have a number of media pitches, stories and hooks that you can present to various media outlets that don’t have a thing to do with celebrities. Using this approach, you and your fashions are the stars. Then, after you’ve made your splash and established yourself through the media as a hot designer, maybe, just maybe you’ll let one of those celebrities wear them.
