| |
| There are lots of opinions on what it will take to turn our economy around and drive sales numbers back up, but one thing is for certain: it won't happen without a lot of practice. It takes more than one iteration to achieve sales mastery, but you won't step onto the podium of success and bask in the glory of being a top performer without the Practice Button.

Setting Goals that Leverage Sales Success
| |
| One of the single, most important skills that a salesperson can possess is to set goals that are so well defined, and so compelling, that they become embedded deep into the unconscious mind, consequently acting as a powerful force that drives motivation and behaviour. If your sales team lacks clarity about why they are doing the job that they do, their sense of purpose will become diluted and as their sales manager you are losing out on a massive piece of their potential. |

Delegation, the Key to Small Business Growth
| |
| In his bestselling book, "The E-Myth Revisited," Michael Gerber suggests that you prepare an organizational chart for your business right from the get-go, complete with descriptions for each job you currently perform. This may seem unnecessary (after all, you know what you have to do!) but it will help you prepare for the time when you need to start delegating to employees or outside services. Having formal job descriptions in place will not only allow you to identify the work you can delegate as your business grows, but make the transition less disruptive and stressful. |

THE ACORN THEORY
| |
| The Acorn Theory was first postulated in the modern era, at least in the public domain by James Hillman, author and psychologist, in his bestselling book; The Soul’s Code. It is Hillman’s view that one of life’s greatest mysteries is the question of character and ones destiny. In this theory he proposes that our calling is inborn and that it’s our mission in life to realize its imperatives. He has called it the “acorn theory,” the idea that our lives are formed by a particular image, just as the oak’s destiny is contained in the tiny acorn. |

Authors: Rename Your Book For Another Crack At Success
| |
| There are several reasons to rename a book such as adding a subtitle to be friendlier to search engines. Another important reason is to get a new copyright date because many book critics will not review an old book and reviewers often define an “old” book as one with a copyright of more than a year old. |

A review of the book, Pitch Anything, by Oren Klaff
| |
| As President of the B2B demand generation company, Find New Customers, and a prolific blogger, I’m often invited to do book review. But after doing quite a few, one grows jaded a bit – so we ask tough questions.
The two questions I ask every time I do a book review:
Does the book bring fresh insights and perspective?
Is the book well written and easy to read?
Only a book that gets a “Yes” on both questions gets a 5 star review. |
