Doing Poorly Until You Learn To Do Better
| |
| Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. When I was a youngster I got into a number of fist fights on the school grounds. Now fighting was obviously frowned on by all teachers, but in those days kids settled differences between themselves and there was never any thought--regardless of the outcome of the tussle, which in most cases lasted just two or three blows--of getting a knife or a baseball bat, certainly not a gun, to get even with the victor. No, once the scuffle ended it was all over. |

Are the only people that CALL YOU Telemarketers?
| |
| How frustrating is it when the phone rings, (RING, RING!) and you say to yourself; “great an opportunity I don’t have to chase!”
Then the person on the other end of the phone opens the conversation with; “Am I speaking with the business owner?” and you realise, quickly, that it’s yet another (bloody) telemarketer! “Damn you telemarketer!” you say under your breath, as you politely tell them you’re not interested and promptly hang up. |

Questions not Answers

| Questions not Answers
I have said in previous articles that one of my processes is asking BDQ’s - Bloody Difficult Questions. I think I might have also said that the questions are only difficult if you do not know the answers. But there is a real key here to what it is I do and how I can facilitate change and action. |

Knowing When to Sell?
| |
| One of my roles as a Mentor is to ask the BDQ – Bloody Difficult Question. And the real lulu of a question at the moment is “What the heck are you doing this for?”
Surviving is hard enough but it is very painful working with clients and seeing them struggling on to keep the business running no matter what. The pain they are feeling is visible and so there are times when I as the Business Mentor have to call as it is.

Top 10 Chef Jimmy Must Have Kitchen Essentials
| |
| It doesn't take fancy equipment to be a great cook, but it does a few simple pieces of equipment. Frankly, I'd rather use a knife than a mandolin and my fingers than a pastry cutter. Start with these inexpensive kitchen items and build your kitchen repertoire from there. |

Why Fear Leads to Failure
| |
| It is absolutely impossible to create a healthy, wealthy, thriving business while holding thoughts of worry and doubt; feeling fearful and full of anxiety and taking destructive actions. Learn how a CEO programmed his company for failure by the very actions he took based on the wrong thinking. Fear is main cause of failures; it cannot be eliminated by either drugs or a surgeon’s knife. The only remedy known for fear is understanding. Indecision is the seed of fear. Indecision turns into doubt. The two blended together become fear. Fears are nothing more than a state of mind. Doubts and fears about the future are pointless, but even worse; they will create an unwanted future. However once you change your vision, you will change conditions. |

Don’t Blame Mental Pause
| |
| Lately I catch myself in mid-action, trying to remember what the heck I was doing. Or trying to remember what I was going to do next, where I was going when I started up my web browser. To add insult to injury, the other night I cut my finger reaching for my phone on my kitchen counter. I'd just turned the lights off but I knew the phone was there. I simply forgot that I’d placed the knife next to the phone. I hurriedly reached for the phone, and sliced myself pretty good. |

Progressivism Isn't Progress, V
| |
| Collectivists in the United States knew a bloody revolution wouldn't work in America... so they sought to achieve the same ends slowly, through the "evolution" of progressivism. They've been called liberals, socialists, left-wingers, and a variety of other terms - but the "politically correct" label they prefer is "progressive." That's because the term reminds you of "progress" - but progressivism is anything but.... |
