Bungling Bonnie Raitt, or “How to Handle Challenges, Learning Curves, and Breakdowns in Your Business.”
Oh, it was ugly! I hadn’t been out singing karaoke in a few months, so when my gal pal Andrea asked me to go to sing recently, I decided to try a song I’d never sung before – the rather drippy but beautiful Bonnie Raitt ballad, “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” It’s a fabulous song when it’s done well, but for whatever reason, I wasn’t on my game. When I got up to sing, I immediately hit the wrong note, and stayed off key for the first few verses. Yikes! Karaoke - on stage, with all those folks watching. Having that mic in your hand, it’s sort of one of those sink or swim moments. Just like business sometimes.

The Vehicle Of Your Soul
I love the clients I work with. They are so committed to making a difference in the world. Many of them are like high performance racing cars. They speed around the track of life at breath-taking speeds. Unfortunately, many of them have refused to make a pit stop or take a break between races and their bodies, the vehicles of their soul, show sign of severe wear and tear, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Just like it's necessary to take our cars into the shop for servicing, it's important that we stop driving ourselves with our to-do lists long enough to reflect on old habits and attitudes that can rob us of our joy and can lead to serious breakdowns.

Mars and Venus Part II. "Moving towards" or "Moving away from".
All too often sales people assume that buyers use the same criteria to make a purchase as they would. This can lead to frustration and indeed some serious self doubt on a sales person's behalf. "They just don't get it", you may think to yourself. The reality is that not everyone thinks the same way. This is the first in a series of articles that looks at how you make choices, your customer makes choices, and how to realign your sales strategy, should they be different to you.

Fire, Hire, and Repeat: Is There a Better Way to Improve Sales Performance?
Fire-hire-repeat is a classic management tactic and a major drain on productivity and profits. The time and money spent seeking out, interviewing, and training new hires alone should be enough to dissuade anyone from this tactic as their primary route to improve sales effectiveness – but the “body wars” are all too frequently considered the best way to improve sales. There is a better alternative. It is the sales and marketing system, not the sales team, that is most often responsible for the disconnect between sales goals and sales results. And addressing the breakdowns in the underlying system is a more cost-effective, less risky way to improve results and break the vicious cycle of fire, hire, and repeat.

When are you going to start enjoying your spare time?
We all live in a very busy world, don’t we? We jump from one task to another to another with no spare time in between. Many of us don’t enjoy time for ourselves. If you look at the stats, the number of personal breakdowns is rising. The number of cases of divorce is rising

Keeping Your Work Life Engine Purring
Life in today\'s stressful world is like driving a car. The harder you drive your car, the greater its fuel consumption and the more often it needs to be refueled. DSLR Video Production Gear
The majority of dSLR shooters require a light gear load as we usually do not have the luxury of a full crew to help carry our stuff. We also might move to several locations in a single day, and more equipment means slower set ups and breakdowns which can make a tight video production schedule even tighter. There are, however, a few things that I recommend even one-man-band shooters to carry around due to their light weight, small size and tremendous utility.
