Punishment and reward proceed from basically the same psychological model, one that conceives of motivation as nothing more than the manipulation of behavior. As part of my own development and in an attempt to keep my mind as open and fresh as possible, I take to reading all sorts of things. The "Customer Experience" versus "Customer Satisfaction"
Customer Satisfaction was the mantra of the 90's. You had to insure your customer was completely satisfied to guarantee repeat business. Compensation was tied to it, additional franchises, factory bonuses, and incentives. The world revolved around "Customer Satisfaction".
