Donald Trump Bankruptcy

However, in his early years, Donald Trump was no different from every other entrepreneur who struggles to grow their business. Lesson #4: “When you are weak, you must act as if you are very strong”
| |
| Biver has built a reputation for himself by bringing companies back from the brink. Blancpain, Omega, Hublot – all three had fallen into relative obscurity before Biver stepped into the picture. After a short time there, each had risen to the top of the industry. Thus, when the recession hit in the late-2000s, Biver was qualified more than most in knowing how to get through it. |

Maybe I really DO want to appear to be an order-taker...
| |
| Technology has changed everything. It used to take multiple face-to-face sales calls to get a prospect up to speed on the potential value of our products and services. More importantly, those calls enabled us to acquire a broad, deep understanding of their issues, requirements and problems. Now, web 2.0 makes our info available 24/7. They don't need us to learn about us. AND, they now refuse to take the time to educate us regarding what they need. |

Cash Cow or Sacred Cow?
| |
| Getting down to the nitty gritty about a client's 'best sellers' is one of the first things I jump into when I start a new project. More often than not, those 'best sellers' are the source of more problems than anyone would expect.
How can that be? It's the biggest seller (which is easy to prove with revenues), the cash cow, sacred cow, the product that delivers major corporate differentiation. Right?
Sometimes it is. But more often it's not.
It may generate the most revenue - but you have to look deeper, much deeper, to find out how the product is impacting your business. |

Africa needs a technology bubble
| |
| According to the WSJ, silicon valley is on the brink of another technology bubble bust like what was witnessed in 1999. According to the article the emergence of "strange" website names such as Orgoo and businesses whose sole purpose is to sell t-shirts bearing the logos of internet companies(check out Startup Schwag) is evidence of a bubble and its eminent bust. I cannot even pretend to understand the dynamics of silicon valley, so I won't even argue with the writer of the article, but I'm left wondering when will Africa expereience it's own technology bubble? |
