Lesson #5: Separate Business from Personal
Although Hughes liked to put his personal touch on every project he worked on, he was also able to recognize the difference between business and personal. At times a ruthless businessman, Hughes would take whatever action he deemed necessary to achieve his goals.

Scout's Oath
The Boy Scout Oath in its entirety says, "On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight."

So Your Business Strategy is a Success but the Business Died?
Whether it's in our personal or business lives, we often just plain need to change our plans to be successful. The question is, do we alter our course, or do we just keep going according to plan?

Work At Home Parents--Managing A Home Based Business And A Family
Manage a family is hard work, and managing a business is hard work, but managing a family and a business simultaneously can feel downright impossible. Here are some quick tips to help you navigate that difficulty as well as possible.

Who Is Likely To Succeed In Business?
I am in a privileged position in the work I do. I come across people at all stages of their business lives and so have a good awareness of which people will succeed, or not. I am surprised regularly by people about to start a business. When we sit down to discuss their plans, I find out they don't have any! They have a vague dream about running their own business and a few ideas to try to get them going but what about in 3 months time, 6 months, 12 months or even longer down the line? No idea! We will see how it goes!

Control is an Illusion
The reality is that we can’t control our environment; the economy, our buyers, families, partners or neighbors, the waiter at the restaurant, the valet with our car or airplane mechanic fixing the problem. Often we can’t even control ourselves.

Auto Insurance
When it comes to protecting yourself, you need to think about more than just your business. As entrepreneurs, we are often quick to purchase policies that cover our own lives or our companies. However, we fail to purchase adequate protection for one of the most crucial things to both our business and personal lives: our car. Auto insurance is a contract in which one party agrees to pay for another’s financial loss resulting from a specific event that has caused damage to their car. It may not come cheap, but you don’t ever want to be caught without it. You never know when that next storm will come or when somebody will miss the red light and run into your car instead.

A Positive Story
Sometimes, the smallest things in our lives can reap big rewards, often when we're not looking for them. I tell this story in hopes that it makes others remember similar stories in their lives.

Smart Women Keep Their Inner Door Open
The article is about making sure that women are in touch with their intuitive selves. It’s important to create the space and time to make sure that we are living our own preferred lives rather than the lives of other people around us. Life is so busy today that if we are not careful it will slip away if we do not set aside that time to get clear and focused on moving our lives forward.

How self talk can account for 90% of your success in your home based business.
Life is meant to be wonderful – we don’t ask for much: a good steady income, a perfect relationship, a happy family life, financial security, good health and happiness. So why is it that most of us during the course of our lives, never ever achieve even one of these things? Is it fate? Is it karma? Are our lives decided on the date of conception? Is our birth date and time auspicious or inauspicious? What causes some of us to have and others to have not? It comes down to the way you think and your ability to imagine. Why does it usually take a catastrophe or some major disappointment for us to want to make changes to our lives? We get bogged down in the practical, in the mundane and the minutae of our lives and being creatures of habit, never think about making changes. What a waste of a life - accepting mediocrity.

Emotional Muscles
EMOTIONS are a huge element in our lives. They affect how we experience the world... and, each emotion serves as a unique filter for our life's experiences. Sometimes it feels that we're at the mercy of our emotions. I'd like to suggest how we can take greater control of our lives by more consciously choosing some of our emotions. I believe emotions play a powerful role in helping us achieve our goals, dreams, and in creating fulfilling lives. The more we "feel" an emotion... the more we attract that into our lives. Simply put....joy breeds joy. Stress breeds stress. Peace breeds peace. Essentially, it's Law of Attraction.

Are you an Active Listener?
Using good listening skills is very important in our personal lives as well as our professional lives.

When Is The Last Time You Had Fun?
How many times, lately, have you told yourself, "I'm just having TOO much fun!"??? I don't hear this often enough from women - in fact, many of us don't even make the time for fun in our lives. We are much too serious! Our schedules are full. Business has taken over our lives.

Messy Brand Management | Charlie Sheen and Muammar Muhammad Gaddafi
It’s as old as the very first brand building transactions in the first marketplace on this third rock from the sun. So, as you meditate on what you should be doing in your business right now remember, not only do brands have lives, sometimes they are lives.

With All My Heart and Soul
Spirit and meaning is a missing link in many lives, teams, and organizations. Many who have material prosperity live in spiritual poverty. That's what's driving the rapidly growing number of meaning seekers in society. We want to know that our lives count for something. We want to make a difference. Our work and our lives become ever more meaningful the more they are in harmony with who we are and touch the very core of why we exist. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
