Value need not be the Transaction point
Everything has a value but the motivations of the Seller and the Buyer will decide the transaction point - the PRICE

The Immigrant\'s Attitude
Some time ago, my associate, Krish Dhanam, and I were returning from an engagement in Tampa, FL, where we had spoken for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. The flight was uneventful; we landed at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, got our luggage and loaded it on one of the rental carts. The walk was fairly lengthy and the first two hundred yards were uneventful; then we came to the moving sidewalks.

Diamonds In Your Backyard
This is a story about David. David was a very ambitious and proud man, who was desperate to be very rich. To this end he traveled the globe, spending years away from home searching for a diamond mine. He knew that once he owned a diamond mine his dream of riches would come true. Unfortunately David ended his days neither rich nor happy. After he died the local condominium developer bought David’s property and started to dig the foundation. And what did he find? He found that for all these years David was sitting right on top of a very large, very rich diamond mine. I tell this story to remind us to look first in our own back yards for the glittering opportunities.

Heart
Some things cannot be measured, and the heart is one of them. I think of three former NFL football stars. Mike Singletary, according to the experts, was too short and his 40-yard speed was not that great. However, they could not measure his heart and they did not measure his speed for the first five to fifteen yards, and at that distance he was exceptionally fast. As a result, when a running back broke through the line of scrimmage . . . Singletary was able to stop him in the first couple of yards. That made quite a difference.

The Ten-Minute Difference
American workers are basically honest and they are almost always at work on time. However, for most workers, the last one hundred yards to get to work are pretty hectic. There is the mad dash into the parking lot, the rush to the building, the clocking in, the sprint to the coffee pot, and the unloading of bags, briefcases and outer garments. The work day frequently starts five to ten minutes after the paycheck starts.

A Message for Instructional Designers - Learning Styles Are Important
I recently had a casual conversation with a guy responsible for checking aircraft engines for cracks in the metal casings. A pretty critical job you might think-particularly if, like me, you fly a lot on business. I was interested in the quality tool and systems he uses in his job “Six Sigma? SPC? ISO 9000? “ I inquired. “I sat through all that stuff in class,” was his response, “but I really didn’t understand it or pay attention”. He thought for a second and added, “but I know I can detect a hairline crack on a piece of metal from 100 yards!”

A Capitol Trip
I do hope you take your entrepreneurial self to Washington and when you do you’ll notice that the literal distance between the congressional offices and the congressional library is only a few hundred yards.

Obtaining Boats For Sale - The Pros And Cons
A great deal of satisfaction can come from finding a good bargain on a boat for sale at a boat sale, but you can also get a lot of heartbreak if you find you have spent your fortune on a lemon. Joys and dangers exist when going to boat yards where vessels are on the market.

As clear as mud
I was recently car shopping for a 4WD for my partner, Kellie. Looking for a good deal we went into two competing dealers situated near each other. The first was a KIA dealer and the second, Holden. With less than a kilometre separating the two yards, my experience between them dealers could not have been further apart.
