Seven Steps to Positive Power
As part of your spiritual refinement, you might seek to eliminate the character flaws that affect your life most negatively and to add as many good traits as possible, since all good traits affect your life positively. Only a clear perception of the exquisite worth of your spiritual traits will cause you to rid yourself of your negative habits and cultivate positive ones. The more negative habits you can weed out, the better your life will become. Some habits may disappear as easily as pressing the delete button on your computer keyboard; others may take years to overcome.

It Takes G.R.I.T. to Win More Sales
Remember the movie, True Grit? John Wayne played an over the hill U.S. Marshal who in spite of some character flaws displayed “grit.” Many professional sales people sometimes feel over the hill especially during difficult economic times. What would happen if you had some of that grit of U.S. Marshall Rooster Cogburn?

Spotting a UOF
You know how your mind works: You apply for a job and you pump yourself up for the interview, telling yourself that you are the right person—perhaps the most qualified candidate—and that they’d be fools to pass you up. You remind yourself of how well you have performed in your current position and how undervalued you have been, which is why you deserve that new position. But then you no sooner submit your résumé and that little voice starts whispering in your ear, “What if I don’t get the job? What if it means I have to travel more? What if I don’t like my new boss? What if I don’t like my new colleagues? What if they don’t like me? What if I have to work longer hours?” And the worst what if of all is the one with the F word, “What if I fail?” (This mindset works similarly with dating.)

Surviving the Narcissist Leader
CEOs or Presidents, who attain positions of power, reach these positions for a variety of reasons. The reasons are not always a result of competency and hard work; these positions are not always earned. As a result employees find themselves under the rule of various kinds of leaders. Even those leaders that have earned their position can be impossible to work for and it’s difficult to be happy and satisfied doing it. I personally have worked for two Narcissist CEOs during my career. Both of them were extremely vain, egotistical, conceited, selfish and paranoid. Each demonstrated one or more of those character flaws to an extreme. One actually threw a stapler at his secretary. Another had bugging devices installed in his executive team's offices.
