CARBON EMISSIONS ARE LIKE CHOLESTEROL
| |
| In seminars around the world, I have talked about how carbon emissions are analogous to “fat” in a
diet… It is something we don’t want, but is often an unavoidable part of our daily lives. We can
accumulate fat on our bodies in many ways, but mostly through “bad” habits. Although challenging, we
can change our habits and slowly get rid of the fat. The same is true with carbon emissions… fossil
fuels have been our “bad” habit. We can consciously wean ourselves off in a planned manner, or we
may have to hastily quit due to supply shortages, energy and/or carbon price spikes, climate impacts,
wars or any number of other reasons which we cannot yet see. |

| Picture this, your alarm screams at you at 5 or 6am. You think to yourself you’ve got a full on day ahead and need to get to work NOW. You skip breakfast and just grab a coffee as you run out of the door or at one of those drive throughs on the way to work. You get to work and are straight into it. Ten o’clock arrives and you are fading fast, your energy is below low, you can’t think straight and you are ready to eat the first thing that walks past you. |

Foods For Optimum Health
| |
| One of the important things we need to do to ensure a good balance in our lives is to be aware of what we eat.

The Best of Times...The Worst of Times? Part 2
| |
| Do you get the impression that everyone is missing the point to our current economic climate (I prefer “climate” to “crisis”). All common sense solutions first identify the “root cause” of the problem. There are plenty of examples in our daily lives. Want to avoid a hangover?...DON’T drink, care to avoid lung cancer?...DON’T smoke, indigestion?...avoid spicy foods. When you go to the doctor seeking help with your cholesterol or blood pressure the doctor will prescribe medicine and a regimen of diet and exercise that will work towards solving the root cause of the problem. Why haven’t we taken the same approach to solving the root cause of our current “climate”?
