Today is the Day
How many days do we wake up and say “today is the day I am going to …..start a diet, stop drinking, stop smoking,” getting out of bed with the best resolve, we start on a mission, but by 11am the cravings, or the little voice in the head is saying just one cigarette or a biscuit won’t hurt. But with great willpower some of us get over this hurdle and get to lunchtime, meeting friends it is hard not to indulge in a glass or two of vino, so our resolve weakens and we say to ourselves, never mind I will start tomorrow!! Then when tomorrow comes we go through the same or similar routine; until our promises to ourselves don’t come to mean much to us, they don’t have much value and we don’t mind breaking them.
