grow your business like a weed
On my way to the office Monday, I heard a story on NPR about WeedShare.com, a company out to solve the file-sharing problem in the music industry one song at a time. For those unfamiliar (as I was until Monday morning), Weed is a software license service of the Seattle-based Shared Media Licensing, Inc., that allows people to download music files and try them out by playing them up to three times before prompting them for purchase. But it's the next step that's truly innovative, they don't restrict the number of copies the end user makes, and they actually (financially) encourage file sharing. As Weed's website reads, "Weed has a different view on Internet file-sharing. Instead of trying to shut down file sharing, we think people should be paid for it.

How to Prepare The Source Files for Language Translation
Preparing Source Files for Language Translation frequently referred to "source language" files or "source files." For companies new to language translation services, the biggest surprise may be the number of source files that can be required for a complex project, e.g. an extensive website localization project. But just what is a source file? In most instances, source files will refer to project files which contain text that must be translated and localized. This could include graphics files (e.g. Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop) which contain editable text layers. The most common examples of a text-based source file would be a Microsoft Word file, a FrameMaker file or an XML file.

Support for compatibility issues with Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 supports all older file formats and is downward compatible, whereas, Microsoft Office 2003 does not support newer Extensible Markup Language (XML) based file formats and is therefore, not upward compatible. This gives rise to compatibility issues when a newer file is attempted to be opened using MS Office 2003. Microsoft Office 2007 Support is available online for still unresolved issues.
