I was born in L.A. (that's Lower Alabama). Fortunately, I was raised in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I say "fortunately" because Yazoo City, Mississippi, is the geographical center of the world. Many people don't realize it, but you can start in Yazoo City and go anywhere in the world you want to go. The neat thing is, the maximum distance to any place you wish to go is only 12,000 miles.

Probably not the consumer but is the balance tilting? I had the pleasure this month of attending the PLC Awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel. The categories of award included Best Performing Share, Best Performing Smaller Company Fund, and Company of the Year. Funnily enough there was no award for most cost effective fundraising/acquisition of the year; that's possibly not something that the City would wish to celebrate.

A city might be made up of heritage monuments, great structures, good management and geographical locations. But what makes the city of Ontario Sault Ste Marie special is the vibrancy and life of its people. It is the people that make up the wonderful background of any place. You will find them warm and friendly, who will welcome you with open arms if you ever think of visiting or planning a trip to this amazing place. This third largest city of Northern Ontario is joined by the International Bridge to the Michigan state of United States. You can reach Interstate 75 when you go across St. Mary's river. It's a given fact that Canada can offer you everything that you are looking for as the perfect holiday retreat. Whether you think of taking a trip in the summer or winter months, this city has lots to offer you.

Highs and Lows of Living
Carrie Bradshaw and Sex in the City in New York, does not have quite the same ring as Linda Sage and Sex in the City of Quesada....but there again who knows! That probably sounds as exciting to somebody in rain drenched down town Glasgow or Margate (not that I have anything personal against these two places or people from there) but all things are relative!

Leaving behind the Victorian you are in front of Via del Corso, full of shops and tourists distracted by the thousand windows.
The Search for Normality
Recently, I heard about a group of advertising agencies that constantly seek what they call a "normal" city or town. Apparently, what they are looking for is the demographically perfect example of the United States. They spend a great deal of time searching for this elusive pocket of normality. Even when they find a city or town that they deem to be normal, within a year or two they have to move on, because the existing site is-for whatever reason-no longer "normal."

Sex in the City or Sex in Quesada City?

It was a weird year, and in many ways, a difficult year. It was a year of uncertainty, even a year of adversity for many people. It was a mean year for politics, a brutal year for business, and a disastrous year for the economy. But it was also a beautiful year....
