Synchronization Versus Compression Should Guide Government Procurement Policy (200th POST)

| Government is never boring.
On one hand you have the Government of Canada who despite earlier hopes has once again reverted to muscling a shared services platform down the unwilling throats of stakeholders, the majority of whom oppose the current direction. A move which is ironically being introduced at the expense of the very business and innovation the mandate is purported to protect. |

Selecting the Right Keywords for Battle

Before you scream “charge” and run into battle without a game plan, you need to know what you are up against. Sites that occupy the top 10 spots in Google, Yahoo and MSN have one thing in common, lots of links, the proper mixture of on-page and off-page SEO and an added element of trust & authority (such as a Noble Knight, a Duke or a Sir) allowing them to outrank millions of competing pages with ease.

Common Sense and Success

We are all born with five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. These senses help us navigate our way through the world. They bring us delight in small things. They also warn us when danger threatens. However, I believe that we all have a sixth, and underused sense, our common sense. Your common sense helps you make the right decision in ambiguous situations -- but only if you use it. When I tell people that I'm the Common Sense Guy, people often come back with Will Rogers' saying, "Common sense isn't all that common." I disagree. I think that we all have innate common sense. It's a natural gift, just like our five other senses. We don't always use it though. If you are willing to let your common sense guide you today, you can use it as a guide tomorrow, the next day, next week and next month.

Teams were created to brainstorm answers to each of these questions. It wasn’t long before everyone started to see a common element in all three areas.
The common element was people and how management relates to employee retention and employee motivation, , no matter what area they worked in.

Best Practice in Website Redesign: Part 2 - Website Architecture

Website architecture can make or break a site's chances of achieving prominence in the search engine results pages. These's usually no one single element at issue, more a combination of items that collectively add up to an overly high impediment to search engines. Improper use of Flash and JavaScript are common culprits, as is failure to use the most basic of website building blocks.

Article Marketing Strategies Should Include Self-Promotion

One of the most common ways to promote an Internet based home business or any online business is through Article Marketing, and all Article Marketing strategies should include an element of self-promotion. Marketers produce and distribute articles for three primary reasons: to inform their targeted audience; to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise in their field or niche; and to draw traffic to their websites and sales pages.
