What Is Success?
Very frequently I'm asked to give my definition of success. Here is one of my responses: I believe success is getting a reasonable number of the things money will buy and all of the things that money won't buy. (People who say they're not interested in money will lie about other things, too!)

Why have Goals and why are they important to you?
We have been told that to get what you want out of life all one must do to make a dream come true is to have the desire and work hard however, this not the case. If you choose your destination and decide how you want to make this trip through life. Use goals as the catalyst to help you end up there.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
Breaking up, separation, and divorce can be devastating – but may also provide the opportunity for self-examination and a new beginning. There is nothing easy about ending a love relationship. Breaking up is seldom the ideal resolution to problems within relationships, but all too often is the outcome, despite our best efforts to prevent it. Over the past two or three decades, about half of all marriages have ended in divorce, and the statistics for cohabitation (or living together) are higher than this.

The Power of Partnership
Ever notice how many people who have weathered insurmountable odds have a spouse, buddy, family member or business partner at their side? Is this a coincidence? Not at all! Start Networking Today
Networking isn't about getting business on the spot, it's about developing relationships that will lead to business, directly or indirectly, down the road. Networking almost always requires the long-term approach. If you use these tactics, your first networking meeting will be a successful and, perhaps, even an enjoyable event that will encourage you to keep coming back.

How to Create Simple Systems To Save You Time and Make You More Money
Time flies by very quickly. The oldest member of our family, (my husband) turned 53 last week and the youngest member, 'Casper' is nearly a year old! This reminded me of the experience we had at the local vet when we first brought Casper home. If the owner of that practice only realised that by making simple changes she could have increased her profits by at least 10% - 20% without working any harder. This week's article will show how you can too!

Change: Communicate! Communicate! Communicate!
Change can exhibit itself in many different forms and in many different ways. A thing, system, process, etc., can be altered, converted or replaced by giving it a different form through transformation, reengineering or reinventing. The reason for change occurring can also be reactive or proactive. The point being, change has become our constant companion in many different forms and from many different directions. Ask These Questions Before Becoming A Franchisee
Recently I took a short business trip which required some air travel. My traveling companion on the way back, not getting my subtle hint of isolation that my Ipod Touch and headphones projected asked me about my trip and then my profession. What followed was a series of questions that started out in very familiar terms: "You know, I have always wondered about getting into business for myself but I'm not sure I'm qualified or that it's right for me. " What followed was most of the following questions that are commonplace and typical. So, in only a mild order of importance or, more to the point the way they seem to flow, are my twelve or so typical questions people have burning in their bosoms about franchise business ownership. Success - Something To Chew On
Even if you aren't a connoisseur of chewing gum, you'll find something to chew on in this short story: One day, Mr. Wrigley (of chewing gum fame) was traveling on a train between New York and Chicago. His traveling companion asked him why he continued to spend so much money on advertising and publicity.

Change for Good...What You Leverage and Measure, You Get!
Planning for change is a key phrase of the day. We all know why...we have to get better, be more productive, drive more customer loyalty, make less errors, do more sales, achieve more employee engagement. "You can't manage what you don't measure" is a companion mantra, acknowledging the value of meaningful change metrics.

Many people I talk to struggle with feeling over committed, overwhelmed and overworked. Do you have a faithful companion who supports you in your important quests? Or are you trying to fight for law and order in your ‘town’ on your own?

Death and Taxes ... And Change
They say that the only things we have to do in life are to die and pay taxes. Actually, we don’t have to pay taxes if we don’t really want to. But we will have to die someday. And there’s something else that we have to do that no one puts on this list. We have to live through change. No matter what we do or don’t do – if we fully participate in a rich, fulfilling life or if we stay holed up in a room somewhere doing absolutely nothing. Change will be a constant companion, even if it’s just in the lines that time starts artfully drawing upon our faces. Helping us to navigate the waters of change in life and career is what a Professional Life Coach or Career Coach offers.
