There can't be a crisis next week – my schedule is already full!
| |
| Let's talk about the importance of taking control of your day and, therefore, taking charge of your life.
We all have 8,760 hours in a year. To date, we've already used 792 (roughly) this year. Projecting ahead, I figure I have another 1,040 Saturdays in my 'active' life. |

|
There's Support in Numbers!
| |
| My intention, over the next few years, is to make a ton of money – with money comes freedom and part of that freedom, for me, involves 'giving back" – wherever and whenever I can! That's my dream and that is my intention. |

Go for the Gold – Habits to Build Your Confidence and Courage!
| |
| Habits are routines of behaviour that are repeated regularly and tend to occur subconsciously, without directly thinking consciously about them. Habits are necessary in life. They help us maintain routine and order. Habits are not necessarily good or bad – it depends on the goal that you have set. It is then, and only then, that you can identify whether or not your habits are moving you towards your goal or away from your goal. |

Heroes Who Instill Confidence and Courage!
| |
| I continue to enjoy watching the Olympic games on TV - winter sports are a favorite of mine. Not only do I get much personal pleasure watching the x-country skiing, the figure skating and the snow-boarding, to name a few of the sports, but I really love listening to the athletes as they are being interviewed. These young people are in a class of their own. I aspire to that level of excellence, both in my personal life and in my business. |

Setting Goals – How to Get Started!
| |
| "I really admire those Olympic athletes, but I could never do anything like that!" These are some of the comments I've heard over the past few weeks from people with whom I have been discussing the Olympic games. Typically, you would not find me in front of a TV for hours, let alone watching sports. No way! However, it was with a great sense of pride, and interest, that I did watch a lot of the games on TV. I did so with purpose and intent - and for the entertainment, of course. I have always been very goal-oriented and I am happy to share my goals with people who can help me and support me.

I'm Every Woman!
| |
| This week, we celebrated International Woman's Day - not something I take lightly. I honor, respect and celebrate the women who have 'walked before me' - without whom I would not be living this life of freedom and opportunity. This past weekend, I spoke at the Amazing Woman's Day event in Toronto - the Canadian launch of this international initiative. Wow! Words cannot describe the experience. There's something very powerful when a room is filled with women, from all walks of life, each with their own story - mothers - sisters - entrepreneurs - career women - retirees - stepmoms - daughters - entertainers - authors - visionaries and so on. |

You Just Never Know!
| |
| My Gratitude Journal, for the past week, is overflowing. I am so blessed, and grateful, to be doing the work that I truly love. As an entrepreneur, however, there are those moments and those times when I sit back and wonder......am I really making a difference? Does my work really matter? And the Universe responded - not once, but twice. |

Who Are You and What Do You Do?

What causes this level of anxiety? |

The Six Words That Set Me Up For Success!
| |
| This past year has been an incredible journey for me, both professionally and personally. Working with a powerful and successful business coach is essential when you are serious about growing your business. I've heard so many entrepreneurs saying: "I don't have the time. I don't have the money. I'll wait until......." and many more reasons as to ‘why not'. My take on this: The future is promised to no one! |

|
One Thing You Must Do to Survive!
| |
| Do you remember a time when life included elements of play? For many of us, that is a very faint memory - you're going to have to travel back to a time when you were younger to look for clues about how to resume this life-saving past-time. |

When Is The Last Time You Had Fun?
| |
| How many times, lately, have you told yourself, "I'm just having TOO much fun!"??? I don't hear this often enough from women - in fact, many of us don't even make the time for fun in our lives. We are much too serious! Our schedules are full. Business has taken over our lives. |

The No. 1 Fear in Life!
| |
| The #1 fear in life is public speaking - even before death! We are more afraid of public speaking than dying - can you believe that? I believe it is all about perspective. We all know how to talk and most of us are passionate about something. For those of us in business, ideally we are living our purpose and really believe that we can make a difference. |

Are You Living Your Life Purpose?
| |
| I'm sure you've heard the question many times and perhaps you are still pondering the answer! I am often asked by women "how do I figure out my purpose?" Is there a process? Is there a formula? Am I supposed to just know what 'it' is? And how can I make money at it?

The Critical Need for Self-Care!
| |
| As women entrepreneurs, I know that we give our 'all' to our business! I do that – and I know I'm not alone. When I was going through my separation and divorce (and the many other 'life challenges' that happened at the same time), I was so fortunate to have one of the best doctors ever. Her advice to me, at the time, was very simple: eat properly, exercise – even just a little bit, and get some sleep. |

Working ON Your Business, and Not IN Your Business!
| |
| I have met a lot of women entrepreneurs who feel like they are 'drowning' because of all that they are doing, each and every day! They are spending so much time on the nitty-gritty details and so much energy working 'in' their business, that they have lost sight of the big picture - of the 'why' they are doing what they are doing. |

For Something To Change, You Need to Change!

“Does Making Money Scare You?”
| |
| When I was growing up, we weren’t really taught how to manage money – let alone how to think about money” I knew that my parents were not ‘rich’ by any means, as my father was in the military and my Mom was a stay-at-home mother with 7 children under foot. |

The Best Ways to Invest In Yourself!
| |
| I watch so many women entrepreneurs pinching pennies, day in and day out – month in and month out – as they struggle to grow their business. |
|
Are You Stuck?
| |
| I often encourage my clients to ask themselves the question “where am I stuck?” For many entrepreneurs, the answer can be as simple as ……..’behind my computer’. For others, it can be much more intense and answers can range from finances to networking to finding new clients. |

To Succeed, You Must Be Committed!

Where Does Courage Live?
| |
| Courage is something that people talk about but they don't necessarily know when they're doing it. And the reason for that is because in that moment, the one requiring courage, they aren't aware that they need to exhibit it; rather, they're busy being courageous. |

Ten Commandments of Leadership-Not Being a Wimp
| |
| Wimp. Wiener. Coward. Spineless. Jellyfish. And more not fit to print.
All are words used to describe someone who lacks courage. The courage to do the right thing. The courage to confront. The courage to object. The courage to take risks. The courage to take a different path. All of these are needed characteristics of effective and winning leadership.
In all types of settings and in all organizational structures, leaders need courage and, more importantly, the good judgment when to utilize courage and when to stand down. As important as courage is, the ability to not fight a battle is equally important. |

Learn To Increase Your Confidence for Greater Success
| |
| Confidence is generally thought of a mental state of being “certain.” Confidence could apply to the knowledge one carries that his viewpoint is true. Confidence could also apply to a permanent emotional state of mind, as in self-confidence: having high self-esteem in general and especially when considering a specific capability. Case in point: some people who struggle with self-doubt in most aspects of their life, but who are confident in one belief. Confidence has sometimes been called a “self-fulfilling prophecy”, since those that have it succeed just as they predict, whereas those who lack it fail because they worry too much about not having it. |
