How to develop a career action plan
| |
| The focus of this article is on the development of your career action plan. However, the process can also be easily adapted to other areas of your life.
The first and most important step is to make a decision. The decision is whether or not you need a career action plan. Many may not require any action in their career at this stage of their life. For some there are more important areas in their life to which they want to devote their time. The challenge is to make a conscious decision and either accept the current job or put into place actions to achieve your goal job. |

Small Business Tips: Turning Words Into Deeds
| |
|
Deed is just another name for action. First you need to ensure you have thought and imagined the foundations of your business – getting clear on your products, services and customers. Next you need to have "inked" these thoughts into plans, brochures, web sites and copy. Finally you need to take action.
Action is where you put your energy behind your thoughts. There are many sayings around the importance of action "You miss 100% of all shots you fail to take", "You've got to be in it to win it" and "The journey of 1000 miles begins with just one step" are a few of my favourites.

The DANGERS of Living UNCONSCIOUSLY
| |
| We can all relate to that "trance-like" state where we're going through the motions, not 100% there. We all have our favorite or habitual places to "check-out" and go unconscious. And, here's what I've found fascinating. When we bring our full-on, conscious attention to ANY aspect of our lives...it naturally falls into greater alignment with our highest ideals and dreams. Our lives WORK, and are more fulfilling when we're fully conscious. It's our lack of attention, our "unconsciousness" that is at the root of nearly everyone of our problems. |

Why You Aren't Wired For Massive Quantum Income Leaps
| |
| Did you know that your conscious thoughts are responsible for approximately 2-4 percent of your results. And your subconscious or habitual way of thinking and behaving is responsible for 96% to 98% of your results?
The truth of the matter is information gathering happens in our conscious mind. This is where we gather information, listen to music or information, and we think, "Wow. Cool stuff. This is fabulous!" We feel excited, and then tomorrow we will have forgotten 90% of what we have heard, because that's the way we have been conditioned. When we were children, we would sit in the classroom and gather information for tests, then we take the test and forget it. |

Action Plan Example
| |
| Action plans are fairly common in business, but probably done wrong as often as not. A lot of people do not understand what an action plan is and often mistake it for a COE or Correction Of Errors, not one of my favorite types of documents. Having a good action plan starts with an understanding of what an action plan is and a great action plan example would be a huge help in this.
An action plan is a forward looking document and should be addressed as one. When looking at an action plan example one should take this into account. Action plans prevent business gaffs, keep everyone on task and help smooth out operations. In a way they could be considered a mini business plan, though I tend to look at them as a working business plan. |

The Tip of the Iceberg - Your Conscious Mind
| |
| You may have clear goals and great intentions but find in the long run that you miss our mark. It's like part of you wants it and part of you doesn't. In a way, that is what is going on - we literally have two minds. Our conscious mind and our subconscious mind - like an iceberg, we see only a small portion above the surface. When there is a disconnect between the our conscious desires and our unconscious beliefs, in the long run, the subconscious wins out - every time. How do we know what we really believe is possible? By the results we ultimately achieve. Fortunately, it is surprising easy to tap into the subconscious mind and transform limiting beliefs to more empowering ones. |

It Takes More Than Marketing to Attract Big Bucks
| |
| Marketing is an action. Action doesn’t create a result. It’s all about what is driving the action. You need to be fully into it before, during and after the action for it to create the impact that you want. |

What I Learned From A Glitch – And A Rabbit
| |
| How did I learn how vital it is to be conscious about your marketing? By working with entrepreneurs! In fact, it's the core strategy behind what I teach, and it’s why I named my business Conscious Marketing. But here's where my head got in the way of my heart: I had an extensive marketing background. I played hardball with some of the top advertising agencies. I thought I had it going on! I didn't think I needed any help from a coach or a mentor, because I already had all the answers. I was wrong. |
