Corporations & Consultants: Together We Are Creating a Culture of Conscious Capitalism
Like a Rainforest that is rich with life, the evolving green economy is full of hope and promise for renewed economic growth and prosperity. However, like a Rainforest, this new economy needs nourishment and space to grow. Finding one’s way through the dense foliage of the Rainforest can be achieved with the spirited gusto of a pioneer; or as many smart explores will employ, with the skillful guidance of an experienced scout. Consulting organizations are creating change among some of the world’s largest corporations and governments. With business knowledge and market intelligence gathered from dashboards that span multiple sectors, technologies and insight on leading corporate organizational strategies, consultants are helping large enterprises make sense of the evolving green economy.

Cannibals With Forks? “In our rapidly evolving capitalist economies, where it is in the natural order of things for corporations to devour competing corporations, for industries to carve up and digest other industries, one emerging form of capitalism with a fork – sustainable capitalism – would certainly constitute real progress.” From Cannibals With Forks – The Triple Bottom Line of 21st Century Business John Elkington Capstone Publishing Limited, Oxford, 1997

Is Capitalism, as Seen by Enterpreneuers now, Good or Bad?
Capitalism is good, and bad! It is bad, because it is in bad need of ammendments in view of the serious financial problems in US and the world for that matter. Do not get me wrong, Capitalism, is still better than other isms. It is good because it is based on free market concept and it is especially potent when it is based in a free democratic society like US. However, there has been a mega revolution. This revolution is the the advent of the Internet that has given extreme power to human capital (as opposed to the potential "things" Capital of the traditional thinking). Internet, with its information available instantly and everwhere has been a game changing effect.

The Heart of Business
For decades, I have been a proponent of, and keynoter in the field of, Spirituality in the Workplace. There seem to be different names for it these days: the heart of business, corporate social responsibility, conscious capitalism, patient capitalism, bringing the heart to work. What it means, underneath all of the words, is that we recognize that we have a responsibility to care about each other, and the earth, and run our businesses in a way that end up with a net plus - not just increased profit.

Free Market Capitalism Is The Worst Economic System
Sir Winston Churchill famously quipped: "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried." With apologies to Mr. Churchill, I would suggest a modernization of that quote based on today's political/economic environment in the United States. You hear a lot about the "failure of capitalism," and how bad it is compared with the socialist Utopia long sought by progressives; but in reality, free-market capitalism far outpaces any other economic system.

Thank God For Godless Communism
Though many so-called progressives would love to separate them, from my point of view there are two other continua which march more-or-less in lockstep with communism-capitalism. These are statism-liberty, and atheism-faith. If I correctly remember my eighth-grade history (a subject which is, due to the progressivism currently under discussion, no longer much taught), capitalism has as its running-buddies individual liberty and faith in God. Communism's pals, in stark contrast, are authoritarian control of individuals by the state, and denial of the Almighty in favor of an allegiance to the state that amounts to idolatry.

What Is Real Capitalism?
When the financial crisis of 2008 hit, we saw how state-managed capitalism works, suggests Mike Farrell with aspenIbiz. Read this short post is it will reveal how most real wealth created since the Industrial Revolution has come from the creative destruction of real capitalism.

What I Learned From A Glitch – And A Rabbit
How did I learn how vital it is to be conscious about your marketing? By working with entrepreneurs! In fact, it's the core strategy behind what I teach, and it’s why I named my business Conscious Marketing. But here's where my head got in the way of my heart: I had an extensive marketing background. I played hardball with some of the top advertising agencies. I thought I had it going on! I didn't think I needed any help from a coach or a mentor, because I already had all the answers. I was wrong.
