| |
| China’s growing role in Africa is not transitory. As China-Africa economic relations are
increasingly based on trade and investment, and trade is based on more than just
commodities, the relationship is likely to expand, along with economic growth in China and
Africa. Economic relations are increasingly dominated by commercial ties rather than by aid
considerations (Box 2). |

16.0 Closing comments: Support for Growth-oriented Women Entrepreneurs in Tanzania, 2005
| |
| In recent years, Tanzania has embarked upon the economic recovery process and is
continuing to build upon and address the needs of MSMEs. Key informants from the
MIT-SME Section acknowledged the current and future potential of women
entrepreneurs and, although seriously under-resourced for the tasks ahead, the SME
Section is enthusiastic and committed to working with the international donor
community to support this target group. Coordination of all support efforts is crucial. A
mechanism for achieving this is recommended – either an officer fully dedicated to the
development of women’s enterprise or the establishment of a more formal Office for
Women’s Enterprise Development (OWED). |

LEGAL OUTSOURCING INDIA
| |
| Outsourcing is defined as the "the process of transferring an existing business function, including the relevant physical and/or human assets, to an external provider in order to strategically use outside resources to perform activities previously handled in-house.
Outsourcing involves transferring a significant amount of management control and decision-making to the outside supplier. Buying products from another entity is not outsourcing or out-tasking, but merely a vendor relationship. Likewise, buying services from a provider is not necessarily outsourcing or out-tasking. Outsourcing always involves a considerable degree of two-way information exchange, coordination, and trust. |

There’s a World Between eMail, Games

| It's a little strange out there. There's a huge demand for minimalist portable computers. There's a giant demand for heavy honkers that serious gamers carry, open and use to test their eye/hand coordination and ability to concentrate.
And the rest of us?
We don't know a lot about GPUs (Graphic Processor Units) but we do know if you want a notebook with a really good one you usually look at Dell's
Alienware or Acer's Ferarri or colorful HP notebook that looks like it would take a bullet for you. That's just great we're back looking at $2,500 + systems. Why can't we get a good all purpose system that won't melt our polyester pants with a battery that will continue to breathe for the length of our flight. All of the components are optomized in their own isolated environment.

New Product Channel Sales Introductions - An Accessible and Comprehensive System for Partners
| |
| Companies are experiencing New Product Introductions (NPIs) much more frequently today. Product life cycles continue to shorten and the cycle time from development to introduction is decreasing as well, even for equipment manufacturers. Product introductions used to be sequentially managed, step-by-step, from design to manufacturing to marketing. But with the constant pressure to release new products to remain competitive, the process had sped up. Technology now allows for the simultaneous development and coordination of new products, encompassing all departments, including design, engineering, manufacturing, accounting, marketing and sales. Today's reality? More sophisticated products are being launched, more frequently, with diminishing "first mover advantage" in the marketplace. |
