Let’s say you’re on a cold call, and it’s going well. You have a strong connection with your potential client. But the conversation starts to wander off the topic. And you’re not sure how you can regain focus without the other person feeling pressured. Well, the traditional sales approach tells us to always focus on getting the sale. So when cold calling conversations start to wander, we’re taught to bring the focus back to our linear sales road, including having the potential client answer certain questions. The problem is that these questions only look like parts of a conversation. They’re actually covert attempts to make others to believe they need our solution.

The more your goal fits into the structure of your core beliefs and values, the more likely it is going to be achieved.

When you embark on the journey to identify your Core Desires, you will open up to a new way of living-a life where everything you ever wanted will be available to you or you will be on the path toward it, and loving every minute of it.
Turn On The Switch To Your Hidden Energy
Although many people acknowledge that we are born with an incredible, God-given power to do, have, or become whatever we want, no one has explained what it is or how to turn it on. We wonder, "Where is the switch to my hidden energy?" Your Core Desire is the switch. Having your heart fixed on your Core Desires is how your latent talents, gifts, and abilities are unleashed. Once you have a genuine, clear, and accurately defined Core Desire, you will expend all the necessary effort, for as long as it takes, to overcome any obstacle in your way in order to achieve it.
You Will See Results Pursuing Your Core Desire
When trying to discern your Core Desires, pay close attention to the responses and emotions elicited by the Search Question. You could overlook a key phrase, comment, or feeling if you are not careful. Emotions are not always easy to sense or detect. Often people will answer the question flippantly, or without focus. Often I will hear a goal they have had for many years, and when I tell them it is not a 100 on the scale, they say things like "Okay, you want to know what I really want?" Then they say what is really in their heart and get right to the Core Desire. Sometimes they joke about a Core Desire- don't let this fool you. Oftentimes people joke about the things that are most important to them, because to get serious about it is quite painful. They joke around to hide the hurt.
Core Desires Ignite the Conquering Force
Core Desires are the ignition mechanism for the Conquering Force. This is what a Core Desire can do in your life- ignite the Conquering Force within you. I've taught hundreds of karate students, most of whom indicated they wanted to be black belts, but few of them ever achieved that distinction. Not because they didn't have the ability but because it wasn't a Core Desire. The sooner you identify your Core Desires, the sooner your Conquering Force kicks in. Then, and only then, will you truly have what it takes to achieve at high levels, which is where the greatest joy and happiness can be found.

Core competencies are the underpinnings of an organization’s skills and the cornerstone of successful strategic execution. Core competencies represent the fundamental knowledge, abilities, and expertise of an organization. They are what make individuals and organizations unique. Furthermore, your ability to understand and measure organizational core competencies is a critical factor in reaching your desired goals.

LEADERSHIP REQUIRES EXCELLENCE, NOT PERFECTION
In your personal and professional life, this message should serve as a cornerstone to your core values. The tendency of most who are striving for a goal is the belief that perfection must line the pathway in order to embrace success. In reality, the opposite is true. Goal setting is a path lined with challenges. If you do not expect to encounter these along your way, then you need to seriously evaluate the value of the goal being pursued. While worthwhile goals are always met with challenges, it's the challenges that make the goals worthwhile.
