One of my favourite trips out is to a small northern mill town called Hebden Bridge here is West Yorkshire. There are a number of reasons why I love this place so much, first of all it is beautiful, it just lies in a small valley in the pennines surrounded by lovely clean clear countryside, it has the river and a canal and a multitude of beautiful walks. The energy is uplifting and the people are typical northerners which means they are plain talking, friendly and very helpful. But by far the best attraction for me as a marketer is the town its self. What Are You Harvesting?
Talk about a cliche - we actually went for a drive in the country last Sunday. That's right, a "Sunday Drive," like people used to do two and three generations ago. It was delightful to roam around the southern Colorado countryside, with no time pressures and no particular destination. We ended up patronizing a roadside "farmer's market" fruit-and-vegetable stand, and it got me thinking about inspiration....

Get out of town and take a hike in nature. As you walk around, think about all the wonderful things about your state or nation, and why you're blessed to live there.
