Lesson #3: Grow a Thick Skin
“You simply have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going,” says Lucas about encountering pessimism. “Put blinders on and plow right ahead.”

The Mighty Amazon: Bezos Books his Ticket for Success
“I’m going to do this crazy thing,” Bezos told his boss on Wall Street one day. “I’m going to start this company selling books online.” It was the spring of 1994 and the Internet was growing at 2,300 percent a year. Bezos knew things just didn’t grow that fast. “It’s highly unlikely,” he says, “and that started me thinking, ‘What kind of business plan might make sense in that context of growth?’”

Pain Free Business 8 Ways To Make Sure Customers Want What You Sell
I’m distressed about how many entrepreneurs and small business owners are driving themselves and their business into the ground because of the chase—running after for customers, running after new business, running after another day to keep their business open. This chase has put them into a cycle of emotional pain, even if they haven’t brought themselves to admit it…yet.

The Men Behind MySpace: How Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson First Met
“It sounds crazy,” says Chris DeWolfe, “but even in the first plan that I wrote up, I mentioned AOL, Yahoo! and Hotmail, knowing we would be big. And it’s crazy to think that it happened.”

Apple won't: a) buy EA, b) buy Twitter, c) launch its own game console
Tough economic times or not, Apple is rolling in dough. It has an US$29 billion cash balance, so this has led to some crazy speculation on what Apple will do with the moolah. There's been talk -- crazy talk in my opinion -- that Apple will buy Twitter and/or Electronic Arts.

Be Your Most Unstoppable Self
When was the last time you really, really wanted ice cream at some crazy hour of the day - and actually went to go get it? Or maybe you had an urge to call someone right NOW - so you did it right that second? Or someone stood in the way of you doing something you really wanted to do, so you figured out how to do it anyway? In case you haven't seen the pattern yet, these are all examples of you being unstoppable because the thing you wanted was greater than the thing that could have stopped you.

Conversations with The Barefoot Millionaires presents #73: Employee = Sucker
The most terrifying and dangerous thing about being someone’s employee is that your future is entirely in their hands. Are you crazy?! I’m honestly asking! Why would you ever give someone that kind of power over you?

Beer is Good & People are Crazy Not Starting a Work From Home Business
If you ask me I think all people are crazy for one reason or another. I am the craziest with a work from home online business, doing internet marketing, people tell me I am crazy all the time. I just say "thank you" and actually relish the fact that I am not normal. I am never content. Now don't get me wrong, I live a life of gratitude and am blessed with good health, the greatest wife, family and friends. I am talking personal growth, it is never ending.

Seven Steps to Lose Weight with Twitter
You might be saying, "Come on now! The only thing social media does is add to my waistline since I spend too much time in front of the computer." Well I am here to tell you that's only because you are using it wrong. I'm not making that statement in an accusatory way. I've fallen into the same trap (as evidenced by my increasingly large physique). :) We've all rushed out to purchase the "at home" exercise equipment which we've creatively figured out how to use as place to hang our clothes, or as a dust collector. Come on ... you remember. You decided to purchase the equipment for your home so you could eliminate the recurring fee you paid to the health club. The crazy thing is you weren't using the membership anyhow.

A Cool Time Management Lesson From A Fruit Smoothie!
Life events often are opportunities to learn something from if we're aware. But ... who could have guessed that a crazy thing like making a fruit smoothie could turn into a time management lesson.

Lesson #1: “It takes a lot more to run a good business than just trailing commissions or kickbacks.”
In 1991, when Ilhan opened up his first store called “Mobileworld,” he started off by offering crazy deals, including $1 phones. His competitors, meanwhile, would be offering the same products for $200. Those marketing methods inspired the name change to Crazy John’s.

Man always achieves the goal that he sets for himself. Always.
I have always been a person who keeps hopping around from one hobby to another. For some time I was crazy about learning how to play the guitar. And I learnt it. Then I was crazy about setting up aquariums. And I ended up with 2 of them in my house. For some time it was angling, and I spent lots of money and time indulging in it. Then I fell for flight simulators. And I learnt it inside out in much detail. Photography came up next. And I went into great detail in that too. Fitness and muscle was another of my hobbies. And I spent some time on that too. These are just to name a few. This attitude towards life made people give me the ‘What’s new?’ today kind of look. I was branded as the guy who never sticks to one thing and keeps jumping around. And it was not a good thing.

No Time for Executive Skills Training?
Crazy busy? Business executives often tell me: "I have a nuts schedule and I'm crazy busy. I know I should stop to take a presentation skills training -- but I can't seem to find the time."
