Why create time to be alone
| |
| But what is the value of spending this alone?
Neither the Dalai Lama nor the massage therapist let me know their thoughts, so I did a bit of research. One of the articles that I discovered was by Keith Renninson. He is a Vietnam vet turned motivational speaker and author. He talked about using the time alone to develop a personal life philosophy and then to check in with ourselves on a regular basis to confirm what is working and what isn’t working. |

Heed the Dalai Lama -- and Fortune Magazine
| |
| The Dalai Lama says:
“One can be deceived by three types of laziness:
the laziness of indolence, which is the wish to procrastinate;
the laziness of inferiority, which is doubting your capabilities;
and the laziness that is attached to negative actions, or putting great effort into non-virtue.”
I really like this quote because it drives home an important point about personal responsibility and becoming an outstanding performer. The Dalai Lama doesn’t let us off the hook by saying, “I didn’t think I could do it.” Instead, he says that doubting our abilities is a form of laziness. That’s some tough love!

Who are you blaming for your short comings?
| |
| Welcome to the New Year! I hope you are feeling as refreshed and inspired as I am! But then, late last year, I did have the opportunity of hearing His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, at the conference ‘The Mind and its Potential’ in Sydney. It was an amazing experience. I came away both humbled and enriched, with my mind buzzing! I’d like to share with you some of the things I learnt.

Your 5 Magical Keys To Align To Spiritual Leadership
| |
| The term "spiritual leadership" may bring up certain energies in you depending upon how you define it. Some people feel that they are not a spiritual leader unless they have reached a certain level of fame, or self-sacrifice, or they are living life like the Dalai Lama.
I believe that all of us have a spiritual leader inside waiting to come alive and be fully expressed in its own unique way. According to Webster's Dictionary, "a leader is one who influences other." |
