Why am I penning an article titled "How I Learned To Dance And How You Can To?" Furthermore, why should you care? Good questions. Do you remember when you were learning the latest dance steps as a teenager? You would get together with your friends and practice the latest steps. Remember the swaying of the hips, the popping of the fingers, clapping your hands, the fancy foot movements, singing along with the music and having so much fun and laughter making missteps. Oh, I intended to say mistakes and actually enjoying the mistakes because you knew they were a necessary process to learning the dance.

If we were to conduct a poll among the readers of this column to determine how many of you could sing or dance, I fear that we would receive the overwhelming message that the vast majority of adults feel they have no talent in these areas. On the other hand, if we were to conduct the same poll among 4-year-olds, we would find that virtually all of them are convinced they can sing, and virtually all of them have confidence in their ability to dance.
