Ever Dance the Google Dance?
| |
| For those who know Google well like us, the Google Dance is not a dance at all. It's when Google changes their ranking algorithm significantly to try to get better search results on a Google search. Google calls it 'improving the users experience'. Companies that depend on natural search listings on Google probably see it as the 'dodge the bullet' dance. They hope they don't get impacted much by the algorithm update. This comes along only 1-3 times a year and is referred to as the Google Dance and is NOT advertised in advance. |

Live From JV Alert Does Your Copy Follow This Proven Sequence
| |
| Ken McArthur really put together a tremendous event, JV Alert. One of my favorite sessions of the day was an open Q&A panel with 10 professional online copywriters... many of them are some of the leading online copywriters that money can buy.
One specific tip that was brought up during the session was the sequence that your online sales letter should follow as you are preparing for the close.
The question that was asked was:
“What comes first, the offer, bonuses, or the guarantee? Is there a specific sequence that we should always follow?”
The answer is YES! And here is the winning sequence... |

Remember the swaying of the hips, the popping of the fingers, clapping your hands, the fancy foot movements, singing along with the music and having so much fun and laughter making missteps. Oh, I intended to say mistakes and actually enjoying the mistakes because you knew they were a necessary process to learning the dance. |

A Lesson from a 4-Year-Old
| |
| If we were to conduct a poll among the readers of this column to determine how many of you
could sing or dance, I fear that we would receive the overwhelming message that the vast
majority of adults feel they have no talent in these areas. On the other hand, if we were to
conduct the same poll among 4-year-olds, we would find that virtually all of them are convinced
they can sing, and virtually all of them have confidence in their ability to dance.

Before Your Company Hires a Sales Leader...
| |
| Everyone has a plan.
Some plans are better than others because they contain all or most of the necessary steps and sequence them in an appropriate order. Most plans have gaps where steps should be and the sequence doesn't lend itself to success.
One area where we see this occur repeatedly is when companies are about to hire a Sales VP or Director AND |
