Definition Of Sourcing – Not As Simple As It Sounds
The definition of sourcing can be simple and much more complex. The simple definition is “the processes involved in identifying potential vendors, conducting negotiations with them and then signing purchasing agreements with them to provide goods and/or services that meet your company’s procurement needs”.

Courage and Charisma
During my charisma seminars at The Globe Theatre I see a courageous group of people take steps into unknown territory as they encounter techniques and concepts that stretch their thinking. Each seminar begins with a room full of strangers, by the end, strong bonds of friendship are forged during a 48 hour journey of self-discovery. These people have caused me to reflect on whether there is a link between courage and charisma.
The Charismatic Organisation
During my travels I'm often confronted with a variety of misconceptions about charisma; what it is and how does it transform the performance of an organisation. People hold a stereotypical image in their mind that charismatic individuals are maverick extroverts with big personalities. This contradicts my own theory based on 30 years of research that charisma will only flow when the individual is being authentic and is working with a sense of personal purpose.

Having landed the title of The UK’s Leading Expert in Charisma, back in 2010, people often expect me to be this big, ‘larger than life’ personality who can move and schmooze like a tornado. In reality, I am quietly confident, intuitive and simply have a passion for people. Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana were completely different characters yet both women possessed huge charisma. They have both left their mark in history. These contrasting women serve to illustrate why defining charisma is so difficult. And if it is so difficult to define it, how can you begin to replicate it in yourself or others?
