Getting to No

I need closure. No matter what I’m doing or what happens in my life, I need to have closure with it. I hate loose ends. If something goes unfinished or there’s something that I need to know that would answer a particular challenge or goal I’m working on, then I get very uncomfortable. I feel empty, as if there’s a hole inside me that needs to be filled. If someone says they’ll call me, I expect them to call me, and soon too. If I have an argument with someone close to me, I need to get beyond it by settling the issue and making sure everyone involved is satisfied with the outcome. This even effects my driving. If I am given directions to go somewhere and I get lost or reach my destination another way by accident, that’s not enough for me. I still need to find out how to get there given the original directions.

HalfFULL

When a whole lot of things are not going your way, it can be quite difficult to find a bit of optimism, seemingly impossible, in fact. But hold on, do you remember the old "is the glass half-empty, or half-full" adage? Well, it serves a dual purpose. If you find yourself thinking that "the glass really is half-empty," it serves as a wake up call to the need for an attitude adjustment. On the other hand, if you think "the glass is half-full"--then you've just touched on another of the natural laws, the Law of Polarity. The fact that everything has an equal and exact opposite.

Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

We often hear people talking about whether someone's glass is half full or half empty, which is really a metaphor for how someone views their life or the world around them. If someone is negative or pessimistic, people might regard them as seeing their glass half empty. When people view their glass as half empty, they are looking at what they don't have instead of what they do. If someone is positive and optimistic, people would say they see their glass as being half full. Half of their glass may be empty, but they choose to look at it as half full. They are seeing what they have instead of what they don't. Which type of person are you? Do you see your glass as half full or half empty?

Digging Yourself Out Of A Deep Hole Of Fear, Lack and Struggle

| Purposeful Point: No matter how deep a hole of fear, lack and struggle
we find ourselves in; it is possible to return to our true purpose.
Here are a few ways to bring our lives back on purpose.
It can happen to the best of us. We're cruising along in our lives
having a merry old time of living true to our life purpose where our
thoughts, decisions and actions are consistent with our vision for
what's possible, our core values, and even with the essence of our
very soul, when suddenly we hit a bump in the road. Some of those
bumps can be huge and can send us into a deep hole of fear, lack and
struggle.

Process Management Improves the Horizontal Flow

| A group of sailors were out in an old boat. The boat hit a rock and sprung a slow leak. The group began to fight over whose fault it was that they hit the rock. Then they argued over whose responsibility it was to fix the hole. Those on the starboard side shouted that those on the port side, where the hole was, should be responsible for fixing it. All the while, the boat filled with water and floundered in the increasing heavy seas. As the shouting and finger pointing grew, a large wave swamped the boat. Everyone drowned at sea.

Why are you burying your talent?

A miser, to make sure he controlled all his wealth, sold all that he had and converted it into a great lump of gold, which he hid in a hole in the ground. Then he repeatedly went to visit and inspect it. This roused the curiosity of one of his workmen, who, suspecting that there was a treasure, when his master’s back was turned, went to the spot, and stole it away. When the miser returned and found the place empty, he wept and tore his hair.

Can you do that a little faster?

This morning the local electric company showed up to dig the hole for a new pole on our property. They had already determined the hole would be going through rock so they brought in the right truck to do the job. As an old farm boy I was fascinated so I picked their brains for some interesting information.
