BUILDING BUZZ Word of Mouth a Key Benefit of Experiential Marketing
Marketers know that experiential marketing boosts sales and helps them capture customer data, generate trial, foster retail relationships and introduce products and brands. But there’s another reason for marketers to leverage live, face-to-face marketing experiences to reach target customers: simply put, experiential marketing drives word of mouth. And word of mouth is perhaps the most powerful marketing medium around.

Secrets to Experiential Persuasion
Life can hand you a bowl of cherries.. you just need to know how to ask for it. 6. For-profit and NGO training activities
There are two basic types of private sector training institutions (PSTI) - for-profit and not-for- profit. For-profit PSTIs usually focus on the sale of training services. With economic liberalisation, most governments have adopted a more positive attitude towards PSTIs and have, therefore, taken steps to create a more enabling environment. Many NGOs are only involved in income generation and other activities (advocacy, life skills) where skills development is mainly on a learning-by-doing/learning-by-earning basis.

Going back to basics
Going back to basics and having focus on what made you successful in the start of your career (learning, learning, and learning) becomes vital in selling in 21st century. In fact, one of the rewards of a successful sales career is the stimulating learning process - it’s never dull unless that’s how you make it.

You may have heard of it before, but what exactly is ‘Experiential’ marketing?

Managing Upwards
One of the statements that is often made to trainers, speakers and coaches is, “My boss would not allow me to implement what you are saying” or “that is not the way we do things in our organization”. It is very frustrating. Many managers send their people on learning and development activities and have no idea what the content really is and how they can best support the individual when the individual returns to work. So people attend and then do not apply their learning back in their work place. Many people sit in frustration because their boss will not allow them to make a decision or take responsibility and act on it. Many middle managers are faced with these issues and the whole business is held back as a result. In these situations there is a need to understand how to manage upwards. It is about how to manage your boss.

Be A Student
The wonderful thing I am learning about “learning”, and I am hearing it from many different locations all at once, is simply this; When you truly enter into an attitude of learning, rather than one of thinking that you know it all, and you give yourself permission to be open to other people’s ideas and suggestions, the frequency of learning opportunities becomes infinite, and your potential of greater success becomes assured.

Does industrial theatre really help learning?
When we look at corporate and adult training we find many frameworks and even many more products to choose from. One thing that we don't often find is a clear strategy and appreciation for the science and theory behind the chosen framework and style. KOLB is regarded by many as the thought leader on the topic of modern experiential learning. His learning model, although not widely acknowledged, has become the most commonly used and or adapted of its kind. So much so that there is very little out there that is really new. Now we are discovering developments in our application of inductrial theatre that are growing from success to success.
