How to Begin a Conversation
Successful people are dynamic communicators. Dynamic communicators have mastered three basic communication skills: conversation, writing and presenting. Inviting people to participate in a conversation and getting their agreement before jumping in is an important, but often overlooked conversation skill. People who are invited to join a conversation, and choose to do so, are more likely to be better participants. If you want to become an excellent conversationalist, take a few minutes to explain why you want to have a conversation. Ask the other person if he or she has the time and is willing to participate in a conversation on that topic. Your conversations will be better and more productive if you follow this simple common sense advice.

Be The GPS For Your Buyer
Buyers have two identifiable responsibilities: * maneuver through their internal, behind-the-scenes buy-in issues to ensure a trouble-free change process, and * choose a solution that will address their stakeholder's criteria for systems excellence while maintaining the integrity of the system. Sales addresses one of these jobs, but not the other. In fact, we've never been taught the skills to help with the off-line issues buyers address: as per the explanations and skills offered in my new book Dirty Little Secrets, helping buyers maneuver through their off-line buy-in issues requires a wholly different skill set.

I’ve often said that business is a relay race. All team members must be fast, focused, and able to coordinate with each other. Each member has to know how to run with and pass the baton. No runner can lag behind or the entire team will suffer.

Networking - Is This A Place For YOUR Future?
I first stumbled upon the concept called ‘network marketing’ when a friend of mine showed me a presentation in 2003 and I fell in love with the concept. Those explanations on the black board with links and circles to represent network marketing during the presentation opened my thoughts and eye to the future of the business. At that time I was working as a Manager in one of the largest German corporation. By then, I was in to the regular job for over 6 years.

Time Management Skills & Work
Doesn’t it sometimes feel as though there aren’t enough hours in a day to complete all the things you would like to accomplish? No doubt, everyone at one time or another, whether at work, home, or school, has felt like this. However, does this problem exist due to procrastination or lack of time management skills?

The Enemy in Sales
Most salespeople do not properly identify the real enemy they face each day. They mistakenly believe that they are fighting their competition, themselves, their prospects, the economy, their pricing, and a myriad of other issues. In reality, there is only a single enemy, which often masquerades as one of those other issues I just named. The enemy is....

Sales Assessment Says He's Weak but He Made President's Club
Yesterday a well meaning Sales Manager, in defense of his salesperson, asked me how a salesperson who made "Club" could possibly assess so poorly. It's a great question with a dozen or more possible explanations. Here are some:

Motivating people -how do leaders do it?
Good leaders expand the horizons of what is possible through a stream of ideas. They make work worthwhile. They go beyond knowledge and skills and evaluate, counsel, and place people using a framework of values and critical-to-work behaviors. They ensure process improvements. Great leaders develop good leaders by investing their expertise and time in people. Such great leaders regenerate their organizations. They are truly regenerative leaders.

Creating and Using a Victory Journal
During an interview with Sandi Givens the discussion lead to how women sometimes have a difficult time disassociating themselves from the things that they do. Web-Content Conundrum
The Web consumes content like a teenager at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Sales Training that Really Works
Research and practical experience reveals that many of the widely used sales training approaches and techniques are largely ineffective with a relatively small proportion of the learnings being retained after the training event. Salespeople have relatively little brain space allocated for theory and respond best to highly interactive, participative and engaging simulations that mimic the reality that they will face in the field. Such simulations are feedback rich and play on salespeople's competitive instincts as they compete with one another in the simulations.

A Wealth Plan That REALLY Works
The question people ask me most often is, "How do I do a plan for getting out of the rat race or expanding my wealth?" My answer is, "Make one up." Then, I feel the confusion creeping into their mind.

3 Surprising Mathematical Principles That Every Persuasive Marketer Must Know
Having a perception is different from understanding a perception. Imagine you are standing in front of a box of sand. If you start pouring water into that sand, it will form a particular pattern and start flowing along those particular lines. Even if you pour in more water, it will essentially continue to flow along only in that pattern. In the same way, the brain is a self-organizing system. When information goes in, it flows only in a particular pattern. When you face the kind of problem that you cannot even begin to explain how to explain it, it means that it is not a problem of logic. It is a problem of perception. You have to go back and look into your perceptions, not logic, because, as Gödel’s theorem has shown us, logic has flaws.

Tan and Batra (1996), Tan and Lopez-Acevedo (2003), and Miyamoto and Todo (2003) show that higher foreign equity share is indeed an important determinant of training in Mexico, Indonesia and Malaysia. Why do MNEs train more than domestic firms?

Entrepreneurial Objectivity
For most of us, it's obvious that the bulk of the decisions we make on a daily basis are based upon the summation of our previous experience. Then combined with some sort of reactive observation. “That looks hot, I once was burned, don’t touch it.” A rather simplistically calculated decision to a situation, correct? There are a lot of philosophical explanations to this phenomenon, (of which I have no desire whatsoever to regurgitate.) However, the idea of understanding, evaluating and augmenting our decision making process, is quite possibly one of the most effective, yet difficult things to do.
