Leave a Lasting Legacy or Be Completely Forgotten
Do you know your great grandfather? How about even his name? If you are a grandfather right now, do you ever talk about your father to your grandchildren? If not, then why not? Was he not an important man to you? I ask these questions now because I guarantee nobody has ever asked you these before. In today's politically correct, "everybody is special" society, you have been forced to think only in the present moment; to think about what satisfies you today. So I challenge you to think differently for a few minutes as you read on, and open your mind to the possibility of building a lasting legacy for you to be remembered eternally.

Speak to Me of Love
Dovid Grossman, a coach and father of nine, recently told me that his father and he had fought constantly through his growing up years. Through it all his mother was the referee. Finally when Dovid was 17 years old he sat down with his father and said, “I want to have a close relationship with you.” He was flabbergasted when his father said, “I’ve tried to do that my whole life but I don’t know how.”

The Ultimate Hustler: Russell Simmons is Born
The man whose name today has become synonymous with hip-hop and the tough urban streets was born on October 4, 1957 into a comfortable middle class family in Queens, New York. The middle son of three boys, Simmons’ father worked as a teacher for the local board of education while his mother worked in the city recreation department.

The Black Sheep of the Family: Thomas Watson Jr.’s Early Years
When Thomas Watson Jr. stepped into his father’s shoes as president of IBM in 1952, he knew they would be hard ones to fill. Until not long before, Watson Jr.’s life had consisted in large part of drinking and partying. IBM had always been a part of his life, but only in the context of his father’s job. Was he ready to take the reins of this multinational company? Could he break out from his father’s shadow and create his own legacy?

The Value of Your Word
Dear Jane, Recently, I broke a promise to a colleague and didn’t complete my part of a project on time. Now she says she can’t trust me anymore. I think she’s overreacting, especially because I told her the reasons I was late. What else can I do? My 79-year-old mother received a letter from the Austrian Government a few weeks ago. You see, my mother, along with her family and many other Jews in Vienna, was forced to flee when the Nazis invaded in 1938. She was just 10 but she remembers clearly the name of the Nazi Commissar, Anton Kaiser, who stormed her family’s home and forced her father to sign over the deed to their apartment, her father’s life insurance policy, his business, and all his possessions.

My Father's Leadership
Today's decline of the social structures in America that hold families, corporations and other institutes together is largely attributed to ineffective leaders. As I reflect on the importance of quality leadership, I think of my father, Johnson Kituku Musoo. My father is a living testimony that what you don't have should not stop you from achieving what you want. His mother died before he turned ten, leaving him with a younger brother and sister to care for. I learned about his struggles from other people. I never heard him complain--although I once saw him cry, wishing that his mother was still alive.

LEADERSHIP IS PERFORMANE NOT POSITION
is never position or power or star on your sleeves and cap on your head and multi colour printed visiting card or revolving chair. It is always regardless of power. Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther king are the examples of leadership. Even in home you are able to distinguish difference between power and authority. Father most of the time lead with fear and mother lead with love. Father is a power center but mother is an authority. Leaders are authorities. They lead with WALK AND TALK formula, that's why they do not need power or position. Leadership is not moving in an open car and receiving salutes from the citizens or civilians but making those people ready to die for you.

One Man And His Word
About five years ago, my father passed away. I still think about him almost every day, but especially this time of the year when his anniversary rolls around. He was well known and liked in the community where he lived with my mother in New Jersey. Fiercely proud of both his German and Irish ancestry, he always walked in the Annual West Orange St. Patrick’s Day Parade wearing a green tie and a German hunting hat. With my sister and brothers, I will sometimes reminisce about the small idiosyncrasies that made him our dad...

The Desperation Solution
You have probably heard it said that necessity is the mother of invention. If necessity is its mother, desperation must certainly have been its father. Creative people often come up with breakthrough solutions only when they're forced to. Professors from the University of Chicago and Harvard determined that there is direct correlation between when unemployment runs out and when people get a job. While desperation may be a great motivator, it's not always the most productive way to perform with excellence. I believe there is a win/win solution here as you and I-as mature, functioning people-can set our own deadlines.

“Does Making Money Scare You?”
When I was growing up, we weren’t really taught how to manage money – let alone how to think about money” I knew that my parents were not ‘rich’ by any means, as my father was in the military and my Mom was a stay-at-home mother with 7 children under foot.
