Setting the Bar Higher As a Top Sales Manager
I just love the "corporate sales buzzwords" don't you? Some of my personal favorites: "We need to start thinking outside the box" "Let's take a deeper dive on that..." "We need to give it 110 percent!" "Let's create a win-win for the customer" "It's all about change management" "Let's take that offline" "At the end of the day..." "Let's produce some strong organic growth" And my personal favorite: "We need to set the bar high" I once heard an expression that stuck with me on the use of profanity in speech. I may not have it exactly right, but it goes like something like this: "The use of profanity is the work of a feeble mind trying desperately to express itself" I do have to admit, I do swear a bit...but I never (any more) use cliched corporate sales "buzz words" in front of my sales team.

Discover How to Follow Your Heart
When you become aware of the root of achievement, every door you wish to go through will open wide. It truly is the key to success. Whether you use it to open the door or not is your choice, something you have total control over. Whether you choose to open the door or not depends solely on your heart-set, not your mind-set. A mind-set is a fixed mental attitude formed by experience, education, and tradition. A mind-set is not the reason you succeed. In fact, it is often the reason you fail. The things you have your mind set on are often either expediencies and emergencies or idle reveries, so your prevailing mind-set lacks the power to sustain effort over time toward the kinds of lifetime achievements that bring real fulfillment.

Control Your Inputs
Your mind is your ultimate personal computer. Like your laptop at home, sometimes you might forget to turn on your mental virus protection program allowing negative thoughts to invade your mind - without even realizing it. So, the computer adage "Garbage in, garbage out" as it applies to your mind should really be "Garbage in, garbage stays."

How the Mind Works: Understanding Your Mental Software
The complexities of the mind have left thinkers, scholars and philosophers baffled for a millennia. For the past two hundred years the field of psychology has sought to understand why we are the way we are but reviled little as to how the mind works. The latest advances in psychology, cognitive science and neuro science have lead to new models and a whole new science of mind has emerged. We now know more than ever before about how the mind works. And when you know how the mind works, changing it becomes easy.

Use your Subconscious Mind to Remove Fear
The subconscious mind is a very powerful tool that has been put to great use by the wise men of the past. They understood that any desire of the subconscious mind is sure to become a reality. The power of the subconscious mind can be best used for business purposes too.

Dreaming is fun, isn’t it? Part 3
Someone once said that what the mind can see, the body can achieve. I believe it. I go a step further. I believe that the mind must see it before the body is able to work for it. Look at another realm of human endeavor: sports. When Roger Bannister broke the four-minute mile, he saw it long before he did it. Over and over in his mind, he later recalled, he visualized doing what had been deemed to be impossible. Interestingly enough, once Bannister did what no one else had ever done before, others quickly succeeded in doing it.

Beginner's Mind
Beginner’s Mind is an amazing way to prepare yourself to learn. Being able to let go of any suppositions and simply be a sponge is a gift beyond explanation. But we must also be selective when it comes to Beginner’s Mind. We all have expertise in some areas. And those areas often overlap with areas of Beginner’s Mind.

Wealth Creating System Step 2 – Understand Your Mind
Welcome back to my second step in creating wealth and today I want to talk about understanding how your mind works. (please make sure you have read step 1 first). There are only two primary ways we make sense of the world: consciously and unconsciously. Your conscious mind is the mind that you actively and deliberately think with all day long. The unconscious mind is your larger mind. It can process millions of messages of sensory information every single second and contains all of your wisdom, memories and intelligence. Until your unconscious mind is programmed towards creating wealth, nothing you learn, know or do will make any difference in the long run. You cannot overcome your unconscious programming with logical arguments or even hard work.

Lesson #3: “You must get the old furniture of what you know, think, and believe out before anything new can get in”
“The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out,” Hock once said. “Every mind is a room packed with archaic furniture. You must get the old furniture of what you know, think, and believe out before anything new can get in. Make an empty space in any corner of your mind, and creativity will instantly fill it.”

3 Questions to Determine Your Authenticity
Being less than authentic is rarely intentional - it is just our feeble attempt at trying to speak to issues in a way that meets the need of the moment. Unfortunately, it often results in a reversal the next day, causing you to spout something very different. This is called "being a chameleon!"
