Reflections of Sept 11
September brings with it both endings and beginnings. Summer has ended, a new school year has begun. 9/11 brought many dreams, wishes and lives to an end. However, rising up from that tragedy were many new beginnings. This article is dedicated to those who are no longer with us as well as those of us who are still very much alive and creating new beginnings in our lives everyday. Is today the day to make a new beginning for yourself?

Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a fire inside. My favourite quotation is "PUT FIRE IN TO MIND OR PUT MIND IN TO FIRE." Leaders love to die with his fire instead of ice. A whole life is live and is so cold that had never warmed me or my neighbours or peers or society is useless and totally wasted opportunity.
Niche Guys Finish First
It's tempting to think that because you've got a presence on the World Wide Web that you can reach the world. You can't. Focus on a specific target market, and work on reaching them instead. I don't know a sure-fire formula for success, but trying to be all things to all people is a sure-fire formula for failure.

Leadership is a verb, not a noun. Leadership is action, not a position. Leadership is defined by what we do, not the role we are in. Some people in "leadership roles" are excellent leaders. But too many are bosses, "snoopervisors," technocrats, bureaucrats, managers, commanders, chiefs, and the like.
Persistence Goes the Distance
In 1914 Thomas Edison's factory in West Orange, New Jersey, was virtually destroyed by fire. Although the damage exceeded $2 million, the buildings were insured for only $238,000 because they were made of concrete and were thought to be fireproof. Much of Edison's life work went up in smoke and flames that December night. At the height of the fire, Edison's 24-year-old son, Charles, searched frantically for his father. He finally found him, calmly watching the fire, his face glowing in the reflection, his white hair blowing in the wind.
