Small Business Growth: Recession Rescue Strategies
| |
| This week alone, I have heard from two business owners going "under"... literally closing their doors and, of course, blaming the economy. I must say that both of these companies started out with overwhelming debt, and neither had shown a month of profit since opening their doors. They were both open BEFORE the "recession" hit. Both invested heavily in traditional marketing. Both inquired about hiring a business coach, but never felt it worth the investment. THIS is the Darwinian-like "thinning of the herd" that we will continue to observe in "tough times". But you don't have to be one of those eliminated... So, what can you do NOW to rescue your own business today? |

Lesson #1: “I learned to make people love me to get my message across.”
| |
| As a boxer, Foreman was known as a mean and ruthless fighter. He fought with fury rather than grace; he stormed around the ring with rage while his opponents danced around him. He even showed up to fight Muhammad Ali with a fierce German Shepherd at his side. It was not so much a persona as his actual personality. He was unpopular both in the ring and out, and unless he was willing to make some changes, Foreman knew that nobody would want to listen to him talk, let along buy anything from him. |

| |
| Lean and Six Sigma, while effective business tools, possess certain gaps that lead to reductions in ROI; Flawless Execution, a simple, scalable continuous improvement process taught to fighter pilots in the world of military aviation, bridges the gaps found between the two, while encouraging development and promoting leadership and team building strategies to get the job done right. |

Keep Your Fire Stoked
| |
| In so many ways this fire can be compared to a marketing team of professionals. It is nice to sit and watch the fire, watch the flames flicker but soon if you only watch and don’t feed your fire it dies down. You start to feel the chill back in the air. You must get up and put on another log on the fire. |

LEADERS HAVE BLOOD GROUP OF FIRE POSITIVE.
| |
| 21st century is an era of fire. Steve Jobs have fire inside. It is constantly burning. Bill Gates has fire inside to bring Microsoft to new level .Blake Beery is putting 100 percentages to put his place in the world with the inner desire. I- Phone is pursuing to capture global market.
Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a fire inside.
My favourite quotation is "PUT FIRE IN TO MIND OR PUT MIND IN TO FIRE."
Leaders love to die with his fire instead of ice. A whole life is live and is so cold that had never warmed me or my neighbours or peers or society is useless and totally wasted opportunity. |

Niche Guys Finish First
| |
| It's tempting to think that because you've got a presence on the World Wide Web that you can reach the world. You can't. Focus on a specific target market, and work on reaching them instead. I don't know a sure-fire formula for success, but trying to be all things to all people is a sure-fire formula for failure. |

Persistence Goes the Distance
| |
| In 1914 Thomas Edison's factory in West Orange, New Jersey, was virtually destroyed by fire. Although the damage exceeded $2 million, the buildings were insured for only $238,000 because they were made of concrete and were thought to be fireproof. Much of Edison's life work went up in smoke and flames that December night. At the height of the fire, Edison's 24-year-old son, Charles, searched frantically for his father. He finally found him, calmly watching the fire, his face glowing in the reflection, his white hair blowing in the wind.

Do you think having a 50% chance of dying while at work everyday might affect your job satisfaction?
Well, according to the 1945 report, Men Under Stress, that was the mortality rate for fighter pilots in World War II, the highest among the military. And yet, they also had the highest job satisfaction in the military, 93 percent of them claiming to be happy with their assignments.
How could this be? As Taylor Clark relates in his fascinating book Nerve: Poise Under Pressure, Serenity |
