Sustainability – the new criteria
| |
| What is your position on SUSTAINABILITY?
What community improvement activities is your company involved with?
These are questions, among many others, that my team and I are responding to for a Request For Proposal (RFP) document for a sales training project with a large Australian Corporation. This is the first time we have been asked to respond to these questions in a formal manner and legitimise our position on ‘sustainability’. As sales people and as business owners, not only are we being asked to legitimise our product offering, our service standards, etc. we are now required to articulate our stand on ‘sustainability’. |

1.0 Introduction: Microfinance in Africa - Experience and Lessons from Selected African Countries
| |
| Small enterprises and most of the poor population in sub-Saharan Africa have very limited
access to deposit and credit facilities and other financial services provided by formal
financial institutions. For example, in Ghana and Tanzania, only about 5–6 percent of the
population has access to the banking sector. This lack of access to financial services from the
formal financial system is quite striking, when one considers that in many African countries
the poor represent the largest share of the population and that the informal sector is an
important part of the economy. |

Human Capital Formation by MNEs: Supporting Formal Education
| |
| While training is no doubt the major source of HRD activities undertaken by the
MNEs, they can also contribute to the HRD of host developing countries by mobilising
formal education. One of the MNEs that has invested substantially in formal education is
Intel. They have invested in curriculum, educational equipment, infrastructure and
technical support to almost all countries where they have production facilities, including
Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, Malaysia, South Korea, India, Russia, Poland,
Ireland and South Africa. |

7.3.2 Training as a basic social service: Mainstreaming skills development for the poor
| |
| Redressing inequities and under-provision in the formal education system is of vital importance, both for achieving a more equitable allocation of jobs in the formal sector for women and other disadvantaged groups and, more widely, for sustained poverty reduction. |

Why Are Strategic Alliances Important to Your Small Business
| |
| Global Edge defines a strategic alliance as a “collaborative agreement between two companies designed to achieve some strategic goal.” Traditionally, strategic alliances take place between larger companies and encompass formal arrangements such as “international licensing agreements, management contracts, and joint ventures” - but more and more small businesses are banding together in less formal ways to form strategic partnerships of their own. What are some of the benefits of forming small business strategic alliances? As a small business owner, how can you reach out to start conversations with potential allies and what should you look for in a strategic partner? |

START YOUR BUSINESS CORRECTLY AND CONTINUE IT FOR YEARS
| |
| Start your business in the correct manner and you will be able to make money for years once it is up and running. It is smart to not only have goals, but also a well-laid out plan of action that you will be able to follow. As a matter of fact, running your business and your life in this manner will allow you to prosper in each of these areas. Simply put, if you know where you want to finish, you will be able to arrive at that location with less issues. It is no different from driving. If we want to drive to a given place, it makes sense to have the directions before we leave or we will end up getting lost. In the same way, online business owners without a plan will fail because they do not know where they are headed and have no direction.

WISDOM IS KNOWING IT,VIRTUES ARE DOING IT
| |
| I know what I have .I have to master my self. Knowing others is not wisdom. True power lies in knowing your self.
Wisdom has nothing to do with schooling. University intelligence is far away from true wisdom. History has given more than 500 leaders in last 2000 years who have hardly experience of formal schooling. The ever live gurus Socrates have hardly experience of formal schooling. Actual life is not learned between the boundaries of four walls of classroom. Real leader knows intelligence has nothing to do with wisdom.
One serious effort require in studying the detail of graduates and master of management of business schools. How they all are in the life in the contest of happiness, success, accomplishment. |

How writing sales prospecting emails and negotiation emails is different
| |
| Have you noticed that suddenly you’re negotiating with your customers and prospects through email? They don’t have time for face-to-face or phone meetings. Instead, they’d just like “a few quick questions” answered through email so they can make a decision.
As this occurs, it’s critical that sales reps adjust their easy-going sales prospecting email approach to a more formal and professional business writing style to successfully negotiate in this new manner.
