A Truly Unusual Sales Tip You Can Learn From Hitchcock Movies
Last week-end, my two cutie-pie nieces told me I have a formula for getting their attention. They said: "Auntie - you never tell us EXACTLY what you have planned for us - it drives us crazy!!! We feel like we're waiting for Christmas." Well I think that is the sign of a good Aunt as well as a superb sales woman! Why were they saying this? Hey look - I'm not JUST a master sales chick, I'll have you know I'm the master of weird scavenger hunts, surprise parties and presents for no reason, tree houses with secret trap doors, and how to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Ice cream van franchises
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Indeed Americans of all ages go crazy for the stuff, and although health-conscious palates are turning to more nourishing foods it seems people are reluctant to give up this tasty frozen treat.

The simplest idea can make the best business
Babylicious was the first brand of frozen babyfood to launch in the UK and is now the latest producer in Europe. The idea behind Babylicious was simple, as a mother of 2 small children founder Sally Preston wanted to give me babies the best possible food, no salt, additive or fillers, just good quality food. She discovered the only way to do this was to make it herself as jars and cans were very heavily processed and tasted terrible. There was huge market opportunity to provide quality frozen food for babies, so she did it herself!

America vs. Canada | Small Business Blog
I had never heard of something called The Index of Economic Freedom until recently. The 2010 edition of this index published by the Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal tells me that Canada, our frozen neighbor to the north is now economically freer than the United States.

A Closed Mouth Never Gets Fed
I don’t watch a lot of television, but this one commercial sticks out to me about a kid who was born with seemingly ultimate confidence: asking girls out for dates even though he’s clearly shorter and younger; graduating college when most graduate high school; performing open-heart surgery in a crowded concert hall with a ballpoint pen. But when it comes to negotiating a fair price for a new car, he’s frozen in his tracks.

Summer’s Rising Temperatures are a Boon for Certain Franchises
Summer ushers in a whole new way of life and offers a much-needed respite from months spent indoors. Almost as predictable as the beach-going crowds that summer brings, is the seemingly universal demand for particular products and services. As people spend more time outdoors, the interest in everything from tackling home improvement projects, to enjoying refreshing frozen treats, increases along with the rising temperatures. From home improvement franchises like Frames N Panes, which offers window restoration services, to ice cream and frozen dessert concepts, like the Fruti frozen novelties distribution franchise, a variety of concepts featured on Franchise Solutions’ business directory cater to consumers’ summertime needs.

A dam or embankment is built to keep the water in, which freezes at night and remains frozen in the absence of direct sunlight. This water remains frozen until March, when the start of summer melts the new glacier and releases the water into the rivers downside.

How to Overcome the Fear of Cold Calling
Let's start at the beginning. The fear of cold calling, like all fears, is mostly in our heads. It starts with dread, builds to anxiety, and soon we're frozen with fear. The phone becomes a 200 pound weight, we find a million other things to do, and we pray for 5 o'clock. Sound familiar?

Gravity Freeze
The media is contributing heavily to the belief that there's little hope for any forward progress in terms of our economy. Thanks to the continued negative press and coverage - a lot of people are Frozen in Gravity, hopeless as to a recovery of any kind.

That dog won’t hunt
Here we are at the end of March already. I was talking with a friend the other day about an old farmer’s adage we used to anticipate in March regarding the weather: “In like a lamb, out like a lion.” Or “In like a lion, out like a lamb.” The expectation was that if we had harsh winter weather at the beginning of March we would have mild weather at the end – and vice versa. I have no idea why that is expected but it reminds me of all the little clichés that we accept as reality. As farmers we also used to cite, “Red in the morning, sailors warning; red at night, sailors delight.”
