Fail to Plan to Increase Sales & Plan to Fail
You've heard it before, but you don't understand the impact and implications. You can't get the results you want if you either don't know how, or won't take the time to plan to get them.

Nice or Honest?
I’m leading one of my martial arts classes on a hot summer afternoon. The air conditioner is working full-tilt, but only teases us with an occasional whiff of cool air. The students are fully focused and sweating through a set of choreographed exercises we call “kata”. After laying it all on the line they wait for my judgment... I ask, “Do you want me to nice or honest?”

Get Rid Of Your Stuff Declutter Your Life
Do you have drawers full of clothes you don't wear? Rooms full of junk taking up space. Are you a bit of a hoarder? How much stuff do you have in your house that you don't really need or use? Now's the time to have a good clearout and here's how to do it.

Worry in the Workplace
Worrying does not serve you at any time. It takes you away from your priorities, diminishes your focus and prevents you from engaging at your full level of competence and confidence. It robs your company or organization of your full capabilities and talents.

Putting Your Mind to It Reaps Massive Benefits
Find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and begin to breathe deep even breaths – in and out. Think back to the times when you were “in the zone”, when you achieved everything you put your mind to seemingly simply by giving it your full concentration, your full attention, your full focus. Didn’t it seem almost effortless? As if it just happened exactly as you desired it without serious work?

Personal Alignment
At some point, most of us have experienced that vague feeling that something isn't quite right .... even if we cannot quite put our finger on what it is. Maybe we feel we are running on a fraction of our full potential. Or that we lack the full measure of courage / confidence that we would like to have. Or perhaps we believe we have everything in place, but our intuition does not quite go along with this analysis. This may be indicative that some "alignment" is missing. Here is a brief overview of some of the key elements of personal alignment, even if the full relationship between them is too complex to represent here.

5 Tips to Kick Your “Time-Wasters” Habits
It seems like the world is running at such an accelerated speed that we barely have any time to catch our breath. We start the day running out the door at full tilt; only keep going until we crash into bed from exhaustion. Then we get up and do it all over again day after day. The weekends don't seem to offer much relief either. While most of us would consider ourselves effective time managers, few of us actually are. We're constantly on the go and can accomplish a lot in one day, so we must be effective time managers, right? Wrong. Here are 5 tips to help you kick your 'time-wasters' habits.

Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?
We often hear people talking about whether someone's glass is half full or half empty, which is really a metaphor for how someone views their life or the world around them. If someone is negative or pessimistic, people might regard them as seeing their glass half empty. When people view their glass as half empty, they are looking at what they don't have instead of what they do. If someone is positive and optimistic, people would say they see their glass as being half full. Half of their glass may be empty, but they choose to look at it as half full. They are seeing what they have instead of what they don't. Which type of person are you? Do you see your glass as half full or half empty?

Accentuate the Negative
I’m one of those folks that is squarely in the camp of the glass is not just half full, it’s mostly full, so this post may seem a tad uncharacteristically, well, negative.

The "Tilt" Thing and the Case for Journalist Entrepreneurs
People are all stirred up by my suggestion that the Valley is on "tilt". Lest anyone think otherwise, I'm not convinced it's entirely a bad thing. The Valley takes its biggest risks and does some of its wildest work when there is this "Everyone into the water" feeling about the place. More is more: More startups, more risk-taking, more experiments, more money -- more of more.

The Top Ten Signs the Valley is on Tilt Again
It's apparently that time again -- the Valley has gone on tilt. Consider the following top ten signs.
