Using The Funnel Concept To Sell Your Knowledge
The "sell your knowledge" funnel process is an excellent illustration of how to build a business selling information over the internet. Once you understand it, you will know exactly how to build your business online.

How To Select Products For Your eBook Business Funnel
There are many people who launch their eBook business by selling a number of unrelated products. This is a funnel not a public library! You need to have focus in your marketing. The entire point of the funnel is to use related products and services to move your customers through the wide part of the funnel so that they do business with you in the deep, tight, highly customized and high price point areas of online business opportunities.

Should work cells be used in Sales and Marketing?
Followers of my blog have seen how I use DMAIC principles in discussing the marketing funnel. And in reviewing, discussed how adding toll gates for identifying when prospects should move from one stage to the next. Inside the stages, we have different marketing programs that are taking place. But I really never talked about the personnel that were handling these programs. In most sales and marketing applications, you will have marketing assigned by the duties they do and salespeople assigned to certain accounts. I think it might be interesting to consider what we have learned in U-shaped or L-shaped work cells.

A Little Law applied in Lean Marketing
A simple equation called Little's Law can tell us how long it will take any prospect to be turned into a sale simply by counting how many customers are in your funnel and how many sales we complete each day, week, etc.

Learned a Marketing Lesson at the AME Conference
The relationship to that concept was demonstrated at the AME Conference. The attendees and exhibitors have been thru the top section of the hourglass and now are in the bottom half. Not to sound too clinical, but they were the Buyers of the program. The next step in the funnel is the Repeat stage. AME started marketing the next conference in Baltimore immediately after you signed up for this one.

How to turn your prospects into paying customers
One of the biggest battles in the search for business is getting your website found on the internet - Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay per Click (PPC). You may be thinking that this is another article about SEO and if you were you will be forgiven for thinking this, but it's not at all... SEO is a vital part of your online business, but it is not where it ends! Let me explain further... People only buy when they: 1.Know your company; 2.Like what they see, and; 3.Trust you or your company. So once you have spent your money attracting people to your website, you now need to direct your attention to converting those prospects into paying customers by working on the above list, so how do you do this?

Creating a Successful Internet Marketing Funnel
Content is king when it comes to the net. You can’t overestimate it. Once that most important element is in place, there are various ways to package and deliver your content. To be effective, you need to develop a consistent, cohesive message and offer relevant content, but you also have to build relationships. Once you have a comprehensive approach in place - now is the time to add the silver bullet and separate yourself from your competitors.

“Funnel” or “Incubator?”
Friendly violent debates are really a lot of fun. They’re also the best way to practice selling complex ideas. Fortunately for me, there are lots of folks ready, willing and able to have no-holds-barred, free-for-all arguments about my allegedly brilliant ideas. One of my favorites involves the traditional “sales funnel” metaphor.

Sell Em What They Want
I had an interesting conversation with a colleague the other day. We were discussing the fact that, try as we might, our prospects don't always know that they need what we have to offer. Often, they think they know what they want, but professional (not infallible) experience tells us we might know better.

Fully Integrated Websites...
Web site visitors expect more interaction than traditional 'brochure-ware' sites offer. Fully integrated sites marry that with practical needs. In this article I discuss how to manage your content quickly and easily and keeping your site fresh for both visitors and Google.

What Is Truth?
I found myself recently engaged in a discussion which centered around the question "what is truth?" An interesting question which poses many risks in terms of providing an answer. When I refer to risks, I am of course talking about the polar opposite exercise of earnestly pursuing too deep a philosophical debate that accomplishes little more than inflaming personal passions or, conversely, falling into a whimsical irreverence that is reminiscent of the Bill Cosby "why is there air" routine.

The Best Way to Launch a Product Online
For those who have been following me for a while, you know that I am a big fan of testing. There are two requirements for testing the success of a product online: you need to do it with as little money as possible and you need to launch it quickly. Step 1: Register a Domain Name I know, you can use a free blog and you wouldn’t have to spend $10 for domain and hosting. But people don’t usually buy from blogs or free domains with ads everywhere. Besides, if you don’t want to invest $10, you shouldn’t be running a business. Step 2: Create a Landing Page Do this yourself. Don’t spend money in professional web designers yet. This is the only page your website will have at the moment. Some tips about creating a successful landing page:
