Master Your Game: 1001 Heart to Heart Hugs
| |
| Have you ever decided to do something that was a little odd, but nonetheless followed through on it; then learned some big lessons? The story that follows is something I did on a whim, just to see if I could do it. I had no idea how profound it would be for me, or the impact it would have on others. This crazy idea occurred on my journey to living a balanced game of life. I wanted to move from needing to be in control of everything, to living life with a sense of ease. In golf it is about having a great pre-shot routine, then just letting the swing rip and letting go of the results. This is the secret to working in "the zone."
Enjoy this story. Each hug represents one swing at the driving range of life to master my game. |

Are You In The Game
| |
| Have you ever noticed that it is the people in the stands who supposedly know everything about the game? They give all kinds of advice, but you don't see them actually in the game. It is as if the game exists only for them. Many will say that yes, the game does exist for the fans, for without the fans, where would the game be? I'd like to throw a wrench into that argument and say that, yes the fans are an important part of the game, but without the players, the game wouldn't exist either. |

Yes You Can Change Your World - But Change Begins With You
| |
| They say that in a corporate environment it can take years for someone to get promoted, quit, or die so that you can move up. However, one’s ability to move forward to the bigger office, bigger responsibility, or bigger paycheck is only limited by words and thoughts. Someone who understands the power of a positive mindset, moves freely up the ladder of success, while their water cooler mentality counterpart remains stuck in his puddle of negativity. |

Double your failure rate if you want success in business

| The mistakes we make are not as important as the lessons we learn from them
Recently I re read one of my favourite little books in my library. "If life is a game, these are the rules" by Cherie Carter Scott.
Her ten rules for playing the game of life are as follows;
1. You will receive a body
2. You will be presented with lessons
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons
4. A lesson is repeated until learned
5. Learning does not end
6. There is no better than here
7. Others are only mirrors of you
8. What you make of life is up to you
9. All answers lie inside of you
10. You will forget all of this at birth

The Game of Life - Start your own coaching: 7 days program
| |
| Have you ever been a coach to a neighborhood team? I know how it feels the first time I've coached a team of seven-year-old soccer kids and how much they can really test my patience, not to mention sanity as they run around kicking the ball like ants to a huge, white crumb. It feels strange at first, having to be stared at by a bunch of kids who they will know that I'm not the one in the field. Sounds wrong in a sense, right? But what is the dead about coaching? |

ITS EXHAUSTING RUNNING FROM THE PAST
| |
| It is said that we are pretty much formed very early in our lives by our “first family” experiences. The way we are socialized; that is simply, how we are taught to see and behave in the world by our parents in relationship to them, our siblings and the community in general, plays the most significant role in our formation leading into adulthood. Yes, we have to acknowledge genetics to some extent playing a role here, so I will do that. But this is not an argument about one or the other. I want to write here about dealing with our pasts’. |

A Game of Golf Can Help the Game of Life
| |
| To take a little literary license and paraphrase Tim J. M. Rohrer of WSOC FM 103 radio in Charlotte, North Carolina, in golf the objective is to hit each shot well and to get into position to hit the next one effectively. Tim says this is the smart way to approach a demanding game. Concentrating on hitting each shot forces the player to focus on the current shot and to forget about past mistakes. Unfortunately, in golf and in life, we do hit some “bad shots” or things just don’t go “our way.” It is important, however, that we not let a missed shot or a bad break today keep us from doing our best tomorrow. |
