Savings Mobilisation: Tenets of Micro-credit for Poverty Reduction
One of the more common requirements of most MFIs is to encourage savings amongst the clients so that they develop an attitude of savings first and borrowing on that amount, and also to empower them, in the long term, to be independent of borrowing from external sources.

The Difference Between Men and Women
Gender has a tremendous impact on how a brand is perceived as well as how it’s purchased. There are numerous gender-related differences including perceptions, attitudes, priorities and communication styles.

Environmental Dimensions In Measuring Uncertainties
Integrating the work of previous authors, Dess and Beard (1984) employed three environmental dimensions in their measure of uncertainty. These three dimensions, which were very similar to those developed earlier by Child, were “dynamism,” “complexity,” and “munificence.” The first dimension, “dynamism,” referred to the “rate of change and innovation in an industry as well as the uncertainty or predictability of the actions of competitors and customers” (Miller and Friesen, 1983, p. 222). Dynamism in Dess and Beard’s measure was similar to the stability/dynamism dimension of Thompson’s measure, the static-dynamic element of Duncan’s, and the variability component of Child’s.

Is this gender consciousness?

4.2.2 Training provision for women
The identification of women's training needs has often been flawed because "women are rarely treated as knowing what they need" (ibid: 30). The available evidence tends to show that poor women in most developing countries are usually most interested in skills training that meets their own immediate 'practical gender needs' as opposed to longer term, "strategic gender needs" that directly tackle the basic underlying causes of female subordination (see Moser, 1989).

A Message from Your Empty Nest
An empty nest exposes the cracks and wrinkles in a relationship like nothing else. Midlife presents an opportunity to move your primary relationship into a whole new dimension.

The (Aging) Parent Trap
When people think about midlife (and the crises that surround it), they don't always consider their unique relationship with their aging parents. That adds a whole other dimension to the mix!

Sales and emotional intelligence
The "gender" discussion highlighted by my Sell like a Woman project, articles and other research leads people to believe that women are doing things men cannot because of gender. And this is causing sighing and forelock tugging in some male circles. "Not another feminist on her soap box" or "all men are useless" I hear some say.
