I thought that this was put in a really interesting way. We get paralyzed by so many things. Often we don't even understand that we are frozen.

How To Generate ideas
In order to generate ideas, you first need to have a goal. A goal of what you want to achieve. This goal can be anything like losing weight, getting promoted, getting a salary increase, buying a new car, anything you really want to accomplish.

AN EXAMPLE OF AN ACTION PLAN
Some helpful hints to enhance the possibility of attainment of goals: 1. Commitment and a planned approach to an Action Plan or a Learning Plan is more likely to achieve results. Goals must be written down. 2. Be expressed in the present tense, as if they were real. 3. Clear and sharp focus on the short steps necessary to achieve the results. To illustrate how this might work in real life, let us take an example of an athlete who wants to improve the speed at which he or she runs 1500m. Here is an example what An Action Plan to achieve the goal might look like:

State your goals the SMART WAY
The first step in successfully executing a goal is to state it properly. You know your goal is well stated when anyone who reads it knows exactly what you are trying to accomplish and in what time frame. The better a person states the goal, the easier it is to create the action plan. An acronym commonly used for stating a goal properly is SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistically high, and Time-based).

Instead of being overwhelmed by the enormity of his goal he just did 10% at a time and not only did he achieve his goal but after reaching his goal he took the next step and reevaluated his goals and set new ones.

Leaders were not born successful; instead they set a goal for themselves accompanied by a course of actions that is focused, enduring and persist long after their goal attainment. How could you claim of being in charge financially, professionally, and socially when aspirations and basic enjoyment of life remains exclusively restricted to the fantasies of TV drama and shadowy darkness of dreams................

If You Want to Succeed … Have a Plan!
Ok well this isn't a trip journal, so I'll get to my point and how this all relates to what I have been writing about on this 30 day experiment. I have already written about accountability, having a positive attitude, and setting goals to help improve your chances of success. Well, just like my trip out west, if you set a goal that you truly want to achieve, it would be silly to believe you can just do whatever you want to achieve that goal. Sure you could just set the goal, think about it all the time, and do little tasks here and there that will help you advance towards the realization of that goal, but it would take you much longer to get there ... if you ever did.

Goal setting gives you a target to aim towards and develops self-discipline. Let me share with you five keys that will help you do that. Each of these keys starts with one of the letters in the word "SCORE". You will come across obstacles in the pursuit of your goal. These are bigger opportunities to grow.
