Let Your Hair Down
| |
| When I first named my business, MasterPeace Coaching & Training, I envisioned all my clients playing BIG, peacing out and having a good time. I had no idea how many people thought that you either made a lot of money or you had fun. They didn't think it was a reality that you could have both. |

| All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. Are you a good manager of your time? Could you improve upon your use of this limited and precious item called time? If we are honest, the responses are probably “No and Yes.”

“Strategic Business Entertaining Ideas From Your Strategic Thinking Business Coach ”
| |
| Business entertaining is expensive and time-consuming and warrants being very strategic and goal oriented beyond what the goals are for business breakfasts and lunches. It is good to know that one of the main purposes of the business entertaining is to make people feel good and to have a good time. It is critical to consider whether the event will emphasize and underline your business mission in a subtle professional way and if your guests will have an enjoyable time and come away with a better understanding of your company, its goals and its core values.
Your strategic thinking business coach has some suggestions for different types of events that might fulfill your strategic business entertaining goals. |

Passing Up Good for Great
| |
| Work/life balance requires surrender of part of one area - whether it's time spent on work or time spent on personal matters - in favor of the other. But we don't generally like giving up anything we want. We want it all, and we want it all now. Maturity requires us to recognize that perhaps we can have it all (though that too is open to question), but we certainly can't have it all at the same time. The single most useful skill for deciding how to arrange this work/life balance is the ability to pass up good for great. Learning that skill requires that we be able to recognize what's good and what's great, to identify appropriate time frames to help with the good/great evaluation, and to guard our decisions zealously.

The Gift of Time
| |
| Time is one of my favorite subjects. Time is actually the most precious resource we have. Everyone starts their week with the same amount of time. Time is not a discriminator nor does it have any favorites. Time is fair and always ready to serve anyone who understands it. How we use the time we are allotted each day will have a definite impact on our outcomes or results. We are stewards of how we invest our time each day. We must treat time as more precious than money. Being good stewards of time will unlock the key to success in our lives and businesses. |

A Home Business should Not Be Complicated
| |
| I take a week or two, I work in my home office planning and sorting the necessary from the unnecessary. It's at this time I reflect on both the good and the bad, and examine how I can keep things focused and simple. The week between Christmas and New Years is usually a good time for me to do that. |

Business, Politics and an Election
| |
| There is a revolution underway in our country and I hope that we find people who’ve managed in chaos before and gotten good results. I’ll borrow a couple of lines from the biblical book of Ecclesiastes. “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away.” |

How Good is 99 Percent?
| |
| How many times have you heard the expression: "good enough for government work?" Too often I am sure. Sometimes it may even apply to your business or other activities. Of course, that is not your standard of excellence. Most of the time you strive for better than 90 percent perfection, don't you? What if we strived for 99 percent? Sounds good, doesn't it? No more than one error in a hundred. But how good is that really? |

"Efficiency vs Effectiveness"
| |
| One of the keys to my success is the fact that I am very disciplined, as a solopreneur, when it comes to the way I manage my time and energy. That has changed a bit over the past few weeks – and in a good way, in that my time was not totally my own. We all get caught up in habits and routines in our lives, both personally and professionally, and it is good practice, in my opinion, to regularly review those habits. |
