Rebuilding Through Social Enterpreneurship
| |
| On television in Bangladesh, I watched with great sadness the horrors Katrina unleashed on New
Orleans and the Gulf Coast. I was so tempted to be there to participate in post-disaster activities,
as we have so much experience with these kinds of disasters. But I knew my American friends
did, too. Having studied at Vanderbilt and traveled extensively in the affected areas names of
places and faces of people were so familiar. A friend of mine from Ecuador even sent me a
picture taken in Biloxi 39 years back to remind ourselves that we were there! |

Creating Powerful, Promotional Material On A Budget

Our experiences have shown that many businesses don’t just have cobwebs in their employee handbooks; they’re often hiding skeletons in their closets, monsters under their desks and all sorts of scary practices behind closed doors. |

DON\'t reject seller financing when selling a business because of stupid reasons!
| |
| Many sellers of their businesses are refusing to seller finance their buyers from number of different reasons. And when asked why, one of the most common answers is: “I’ve heard all kinds of horror stories about seller financing”. And to be brutally honest, that reason is not only irrational, but it is simply stupid. Because horror stories are just that – stories.
Have you ever heard the one about the traveling salesman who goes out to a bar for a nightcap and wakes up in his hotel room with scars on his lower back – and his kidney missing? Of course you have; everyone knows THIS particular horror story.
